M9A1 Vs. 1911

If you had to pick one, which one would it be and why?

M9A1. Reasons.

45. STOPPIN POWAH ALL THE WAY

*sips*

Thats a glock

This one

The M9/92FS, only because of sheer experience. Not a fan of the ergos of either in their default configurations

The M9A1, they're æsthetically pleasing to me.

1911, but only because I have manlet hands

1911, much better trigger and thinner.

1911 personally, both are fine pistols though

M9A1, the 1911 just doesn't appeal to me for some reason.

Those Wilson Combat Ultra Thin Grips did wonders for me and I have pretty small hands. CZ-75 grips still fit better though.

What the hell is this shit

cancer

also nice dubs

M9A1, I like the trigger

1911, but only if it's in 10mm.

M9A1 but only if I could have 2 of them

m9
resident evil reasons

>19 rounds vs 8

>mag dumping vs one shot kills.

1911, because it’s a cooler gun and 9mm is a little babby round

>posting any gen4 when the M9 arrived to the scene in 1985 and you post this Austrian shit?

keep drinking, your shitpost will be ignored

introduced in 2010, can you atleast post something comparable than your 25 newer shit-gun with retrospect to history?

I have a friend who was in the Marines when they switched over to berettas from 1911s. Said it was the worst piece of shit he ever used.

>killing 19 vs 8

Beretta 92 is probably the best looking handgun of all time, it's also the most discriminated against.

1911.
Feels better in the hand to me, and looks better imo

GIT OUT

I honestly have a hard time finding a single fucking store that does not have six of those damn things plastered all over the door.

Fuddy five is unironically a better close quarters round. But can I get my boomer pistol in yet a better round?

M9A1, I much prefer DA/SA and I think that the 18+1 capacity counts for a lot.

OP talks the M9A1, which sure as shit didn't exist in 1985.

True. I love Browning designed pistols and Beretta designed pistols.

I like 1911s, but I'd pick the wonder nine.

I'd rather the Beretta over a standard 1911 just for capacity and slight weight reduction, but if I could have a doublestack 10mm 1911 I'd take that in a heartbeat.

1911
Reliability. Heavier round. Bigger hole.

m9a1
>da/sa
>reliable
>aftermarket support rivals the 1911

Good old Chicago

the M9A1 is genuinely an amazing gun and it feels so goddamn comfy

1911
>8+1
>heavy
>not comfy
>SAO
M9
>heavy
>thicc, max comfy
>DA/SA, safety always off
>17+1

I am going to go with the US military here and say the m9 is a better gun than a 1911.

>most common handgun in the world
>not old so its shit
I'd unironically carry a Luger before a 1911, unless the 1911 was chambered in 9mm with an alloy frame, those can be nice.

You can

user i like the 92 more but the 1911 is very comfy to holm

Depends, if we’re just talking stock weapons then easily the M9. Nothing against .45 but I always loved the Beretta and it is still a tried and true reliable combat weapon despite what boomers say. If we’re talking custom handguns though, I’d probably lean towards a 10mm 1911, though it would be tough to choose.

>1911
>reliability
pick one and only one

Lmfao reliability in a 1911

If they weren't reliable they'd be thrown out of competitive use for consistently costing people matches.

pretty much any gun can be reliable if you take a lot of care of it, only use certain ammo, and replace any parts that cause problems. 1911 are used in matches because they have decent triggers and a lot of people are used to shooting them

I have stubby fingers, so if I could get an A3 then I'd go Beretta all day long. Otherwise I'd take a 10mm 6" 1911 with a single stack 'stendo.

And I typically dont see anyone doing that and they're cleaning them on intervals measured in thousands of rounds.

no new shooters use them. only boomers.

ir appears my superiority has caused some controversy

M9A3

And those new shooters consistently shoot low SS class or worse so I'm not sure why you're holding them up as an indication of anything.

either one works for me, but i have a preference for the H&KP2000LEM in 40 S&W.

inb4 all the kids who watch MAC on jewtube start shouting about .40

it is a preference based 50 years of 1911's , beretta's , CZ's < S&W's (on &on)...
the 1911 or the M9 when properly made and maintained are adaquate for any normal use.

it appears my superiority has caused some controversy

this

>retard doesn't know the difference between a 1911 and a 1911a1

That's why I didn't even bother getting a CCL in Illinois

obviously. I probably don't have a couple berettas too

Moldy labia my brothers

Tough choice. I'd say 1911 only because I'm over on Kodiak. I liked the M9 issued to me when I was in the Marines. I didn't get to have it long. Went to pistol qual as a Cpl and got out 4 months later, never fired the M9 in anger, but it seemed sturdy and it was easy to shoot. It's easier to take apart and clean than the 1911, but that's not saying much because JB made it over 100 years ago. Both are good looking pistols.

how about this. M9 vs people good, 1911 vs angry wildlife good.

I had to qualify on both (I just dated myself) in the service. The M1911s were worn out so accuracy and reliability was sketchy. M0 was more accurate except for the second shot. 1st shot was double action, so heavy trigger pull but accurate. Next shot was single action with much lighter trigger pull, causing my shot to go wide. After that all trigger pulls were single shot so accurate with a light trigger pull. We only got to shoot once a year and being Navy didn't even get taught to clear jams. In this situation, I think the double/single action firing with the M9 was a bad idea. Better to just cock the hammer and fire the first shot single action, but we were not allowed to. Also, couldn't reach the decocker with my right thumb. Had to use left hand and change grip to get to it. Striker fired pistols are definitely the way to go for the seldom trained person. Personally, I carry a M1911 because it's what I'm used to. Been shooting one since i was 12.

>M9 was more accurate...

.45

You can miss and just power of the .45 round will knock them off their feet.

Magdump 9mm +p+ jhp can barely drop high school age females.

Checked and correct

how long before P80 or that queer that does the 3D glonks makes one of these disasters

Glock making 1911s is like Kia making bentleys
