There is some truth to this. The job seems to attract two types of people. The fact remains that all governments authority is given via the constitution. If the government fails to follow those guidelines at the most basic face value as they are written the document no longer is law. If the document is not law then no branch of the government has any legal authority.
Cant have it both ways. The second the government started to regulate firearms they were in violation of the second amendment. The government does not have that authority because the right exists expressly for the people to be able to protect themselves from the government.
