i think im the only person on the planet that thinks part 3 was the best.

And I totally forgot to rank 3. 3 is beneath 1 for me. The only redeeming quality of 3 is making JoJo popular and introducing stands.

Part 4 and 7

Im fully up to date with part 8 and i have to say it's my favourite part but part 5 is very close behind

I did just come straight off the high of Vento Aureo but part 6 just felt like it had so many terrible characters. Some of the stands were okay but I never really felt like it was that good. didn't help that jolyne felt like a female josuke without the cooldude haircut

also i agree with 3 although not many people read part 5 onwards so i can see why it's so popular

I felt the same way about 6 at first but I warmed up to it because I really like Weather Report and them running across Florida reminded me of 5 with them running across Italy.

Even though I liked 5 I felt like it got pants on the head retarded at the end with all those "awakenings" and shit.

Part 3 is just so iconic that it's played out. Everyone knows it's good, they just want to be contrarian.

Part 5 was probably the coolest one, and part 3 and 7 were comfy as fuck, but 4 was the best one at doing justice to the serie's name.
And I'm still waiting for part 8 to end so I can start reading it.

Part 3 was boring villain of the week shit up until the end. The only redeeming parts aside from what I said earlier was Joeseph being there and DIO.

Is the anime that different from the manga? All JoJos boil down to villain of the week shit but Part 3 especially was that.

that's kind of how most shounen stuff works if you're going to simplify it down to that

it's been years since I read it, read it a bunch of times in high school though. I remember it being a rip roaring international adventure. part 4 felt way more villain of the week to me.

Well most shonen work in arcs. Any other shonen I'd name an arc but with JoJo I would name villains instead if I was going to describe a period of the manga.

I liked part 4 due to it's comfiness. You got to know the town and it's people. For adventures, I feel liek 5's trek through italy, 6's race across florida and 7's race accross america were more exciting. It could jsut be the way they're structured and araki had time to develop but I didn't really feel the stakes of 3 until they got right in to DIO's castle.
