That event would look a helluva lot cooler if the vehicles were parked out of sight and everyone hoofed it to their campsites.

We tried to do that but it rained for two days before the even and we had several vehicles get stuck just trying to get in. One road had to be closed off entirely. Everyone was ordered to just park their vehicles in camp for the duration.

Hot, sweaty, and they're usually either too big or too small. I'm lucky enough to have a sack coat that's pretty much a perfect fit though.

Mine's not so much because I'm a poorfag. The older guys who've been doing it longer than me have very accurate uniforms though.

Yeah. We did that last year and had the vehicles parked on the other side of a hill but this year we had trouble just towing the guns into position, so the cars were just parked in place.

Other events like one we do in a city park in September, everyone parks in the lot, so it looks pretty authentic.

Transfer on a company by company level was fairly common. Regiment to regiment less so, but it did happen.
