Very simple. There are two heads of the pectoralis major, the sternal head and the clavicular head. Each of these heads has a different attachment and therefore moves the glenohumeral joint differently.
Therefore, a balanced physique requires the training of both heads

This. Whenever I do incline bench (45 degree) I only feel my clavicular head sore which is just a tiny part of my chest. When I do flat bench, I feel my sternal head sore.

Low to high cable crossovers are also amazing at building the clavicular head. Cable crossovers in general are better chest builders than the bench press in my experience. I just do bench to pre-exhaust my chest and then I squeeze the juice out of it via cable crossovers.
