Dude, its pointless exercising abs to make them pop, lose fucking weight.
You dont need them though unless youre an absolute twink. Its 90% bodyfat and diet. Any sort of compound lifting is going to give you enough core mass. You work on abs too much and youll get to a point where you do vaccume holds to keep them in.

However with myotatic crunches you get something you miss on cable, that is: myotatic reflex that first stretches and then contracts all the three abdominal muscles more intensely, even rectus abdominis which is the only one you can partly activate voluntarily.

I'm tired of seeing people parrot the Jow Forumsology from 2012 that all you need is low bodyfat. I was 6'4 and 135 lbs at one point in my life, believe me, I know low bodyfat. I still didn't have abs because I didn't work them out, just the outlines you get when you flex them. Now I'm 6'5 and 190 lbs and closer to having abs after I started doing 100 situps a day as an accessory, which isn't even the best way to do it
