I have pencil calves as well pls help

If you can still walk after working out your calves you're doing it wrong.

calves are gained outside of the gym. things like running and cycling will get u bigger calves than any machine will

reverse leg extensions

Calves are springs. They are meant to absorb shock over and over again. People who do that silly calf raise are deluded. Gotta run with proper toe-first form.

Wear pornstar heels
Supersetting calves in the leg press with same weight for high reps (+20) made me feel them better (no DOMS) in the past weeks.

Cycling gave me quads, short hams and no calves. Could it be due to cycling has less impact than running/jogging.

Genetics. You'll either have them or you won't. You can gain a little but they won't ever do anything drastic no matter what staying natty.

Do a lot of jumps and "natural" calf raise movements. These were my calves before I started lifting due to 10 years of badminton at a county level, and a similar amount of time doing kickboxing.

toe walk and hike

Always take the stairs, never a lift.

This. 10 minutes of sprinting makes my calves more sore than any calf raise I've ever done. Luckily I have good calves genetically.

Barefoot running is the ultimate blackpill. Literally just thousands of body weight, single-leg calf raises.
Just make sure you have a solid toe strike. Your feet shouldn't be pounding or slapping the ground.

Jump rope is ideal. Walking and jump roping will give you crazy calves.

I've added just under 1" to my calves since May by jogging about 4-5 miles per week, doing single leg calf raises on a stair while holding one 50lb DB...usually 4 or 5 sets of 10-12, although recently I add weight to a backpack as well and do 4-5 sets of 6-8. I've also been doing this athlene-x thing, but I don't know what works best.

Sprint and genetics

This, all I do is run 4 miles every other day and I apparently get complimented on how big my calves are.

Try farmer's walks, specifically uphill farmer's walks. Those will destroy your calves

I am genetically gifted with good calves.

but I frequently do tip toe ups with dumbbells. My main cardio is incline for 20min at 10% steepness

if you know an instrument, join dci

This
I've been wearing heels everyday and I started to notice really good calf gains, plus my bf really likes how I look with heels

Dmitry Klokov on training calves

Genetics
I also play basketball and that helps a lot.
6'0 220 16.5" calves and am just about dunking thicc boi power waddup

Pogo jumps and heavy seated calve raises.
Incline walking/hill sprints.
Jump rope.

do them every single day, heavy reps

Weighted (heavy weight), high-rep calf raises from three angles; straight, out, and in. Throw in some toe raises and you're good to go.

I can no longer run because my spine can't take the shock, which sucks because I love running. tl;dr what do I do?

Dumb question: what is that?
When you say angles what do you mean?

thank you based pharaoh

What angle your feet are at. One set with them straight, one set pointed out, one set pointed in. I like to do all three without resting, and usually do 20 reps each. Your calves are stupid strong already from just having to support your lardass all day. You've gotta hit them hard to make gains.
