Eat 2000 calories a day and ride a bike or use and elliptical for half an hour every day. At 400 lbs your calorie needs are probably in the 3000's to stay that fat. So eat 2000 a day. Meticulously track your calories. Just doing that will get you below 300 then from there you'll need to tailor it because your metabolism will slow as you lose weight.
Switch to diet coke
