"Is this something you can do for life, and it is something you can see yourself doing for life?

If no - I don't do it, or I do it in moderation.
AND thats why I consume around 100-150g protein per day. Generally somewhere in that range.

Depends on what you mean by average. If you lift 4-6 days a week and you're cutting, it's a necessity. If you randomly do sports 1-2 times a week and that's it, you're fine with .5 to .75 per pound. Realistically, the reason why you increase your protein intake so high on a cut is to maintain muscle

Honestly, it's not hard to reach at least 1.0 when bulking. It's when you cut that you gotta eat more lean meats and high protein sources and shit

i try to hit 70g. dont have the money to eat like a dog. plus im on a cut.

At the bare minimum, try to get 1 g per kg bodyweight. If you weigh less than 154 lbs, you're not getting enough protons user
