strenthens and builds up the glutes. Add that with some body fat and you have a fat ass. The problem is that a lot of women are retarded when it comes to muscle building. Whereas a low bar squat will give you more hamstrings glutes and spinae erectors and minimal quad activation. Link me to a study where it shows an emg reading between the squat, deadlift and hip thrust in terms of mean, peak, and iso activation for glutes. Here's two studies you should look into
