With IF you can eat like 1000 calories in a day without feeling hungry.
That's a huge caloric deficit, it should make you lose a lot of weight really fast. And you feel absolutely no negatives in your body.

Because it isn't fasting, it is just calorie deficit and if you do it for a long peripd of time your body adapts to that deficit. When it adapts it decreases your metabolism. The difference between IF and fasting is that IF is just calorie deficit while fasting is ketosis with immense "calorie deficit". Maybe I am wrong, there isn't much research yet on this but I guess that we will see.

For the record, your metabolism does not slow down (or slows down insignificantly compared to your gigantic caloric deficit) during IF as long as you avoid cardio and eat protein. Lifting also helps.
So yes, IF yes a miracle because:

Intermittent fasting will accomplish nothing if you eat exactly the same as your usual diet but crammed into the eating window.

IF with a ratio of 16:8 should still put you in ketosis for ~4 hours, assuming it starts after 12h+. Granted if you eat like a pig and stuff yourself with pasta and cookies (carbs) during the 8h break time, you will need more than 12h to get back into ketosis. But if you eat like no carbs at all, you will stay in ketosis for the whole time, just not gonna burn fat until the food is digested.

18:6 or 20:4 is better, or even better is OMAD. Snake juice fasting is kinda extreme and has more nuances, like how much magnesium do i need, or other shit.

The problem here is you people think the body is like a switch, it's either at "fast mode" or "sugar mode". But that's not how the human body works. If you stop eating sugars, focus on protein/fats and fast for 20 hours then your body will be well into fast mode. It might not be full elitist 100% raw and pure ketosis from Jow Forums pepe the frog, but it is still enough to burn a lot of fats and get benefits from fasting such as cell repairing.

I'm pretty hardcore into /fast/ing but even I accept when it's time to eat. I've had to break fasts as little as 28 hours before just because I felt like shit and wasn't retaining any water. Fasting should feel good, if you feel wrong, eat something NOW you dumb fuck.

Checked. I did 20:4 and 16:8. I ate a lot but it was nothing extravagant. I often had something like 5 eggs, ham, breakfast potatoes, OJ and fruits/veggies. For a total of about 1500-1800 calories.
How do I know that I am in ketosis? Generally I go by feeling and breath. Sure it might start a few hours before I start eating but most of the time unless you drastically cut carbs. I'll say that my biggest problem is with people saying that IF gets the body into autophagy.

i walked 30 minutes each day. heck i walked like 60 minutes the last few days because i could not bear sitting, i was bored out of my fucking mind and tired and sluggish and at the same time was unable to sleep.

i will regain that 5 pound very quickly but over the next days i will regain more as my glycogen stores fill up and store more water
