Is okay to cut if you are skinny fat?

Is it okay to go on a modest cut, if you are skinny fat? Or should you just bulk?

Being skinnyfat is just being a little bit chubby and having 0 muscle mass.

No don't cut....eat at TDEE and do a recomp with heavy weights and moderate rep ranges.

You need mass, my dude. I'd clean bulk and start cutting around March or April if you want to look good for the summer.

I'm about 1/2/3/no deadlifts. 7 lb gain over 13 week lean bulk...still look like shit.

1 year isnt even enough to get completey rid of the skinnyfat curse.
Keep lifting more and go heavy on your compounds. Do not forget to do accessory lifts such as curls, pullups, rows, db bench, db press.

Nope, wrong. I do Coolcicada Push/Pull/Legs, a bodybuilding routine.

95% unprocessed, non-fried, low sugar, "healthy" foods. Chicken, salmon, broccoli, green beans, pasta, rice, sweet potato, peanut butter, cashews, almonds, black beans, corn, salsa, oats, whey, greek yogurt, berries. Always hit 160g+ protein a day, and enough calories to gain about 1/2 lb a week.

My modified PPL (Push+abs / Pull / Legs+abs / Push / Pull+Abs)

Push (Chest/Triceps/Shoulders)
Flat Barbell Bench Press: 3x5
Standing Barbell Overhead Press: 3x5
Incline Barbell Bench Press: 3x5
Dumbbell Side Lateral Raise: 3x10-12
Rope Pushdowns (circuit machine): 3x10-12
Overhead Dumbbell Extension: 3x10-12

Yes, it's called the dumbell deadlift. Only one b. You have to be more careful with the form, just look up some vids though.

I'm 6' 165 lbs just deadlifted 205 (pounds) so that should give you a pretty good idea of how fat I am
if I perma suck in I look ok but my gut normally looks gross

whens the soonest I can cut? Or will my chest and arms and stuff eventually make my gut look not as big?
