Why don't more powerlifters and bodybuilders learn to box or do kickboxing?

It seems almost every heavy lifter/ego lifter I see has this idea of themselves being tough or how they'd be good at a fight because they are big or lift heavy.

Why not just actually learn to fight? It makes literally no sense to me that someone would lift weights but not be athletic about it in the ultimate sport known to man.

Powerlifters can easily beat boxers in a fight because they don’t have years of knuckle damage weakening their punches or brain damage weakening their reflexes.

Footwork and technique are a thing you can train for and bigger guys get gassed real fast since they have to move with more energy expelled in a fight than a leaner build

I would recommend everyone on this board to join some kind of a sport. If your life is just work,lift,eat,netflix,tinder than you should definitely try getting into a sport or some type of hobby where you'll meet people. Don't complain about being lonely and not meeting people if your only form of exercise is pushing metal

mostly because boxing is a shit meme that requires an insane ammount of commitment and time investment unlike bodybuilding
for starters it requires a big ammount of cardio and that cuts into your recovery, which is why most boxers that aren't on roids or insanely genetically gifted look like dog shit, because they can't make any fucking gains.

Grappling is much better for bodybuilders anyway, you get to use your muscular strength more than in boxing and size has a big advantage in all forms of grappling unlike in boxing where you get btfo by lanky ass long libed niggers that don't even lift because they spend so little energy on every move they do, plus lo9nger limbs make it so they can move distances faster and hit you while you are unable to hit them.

Boxing is literally a lanklet sport which is why niggers dominate it, mma and specially grappling is more balanced because strength matters more there.

If you fight on the street, which is retarded anyway, you don’t hop around waiting for opportunities, you just go. In 99 % of cases, the dude with the more aggressive measure will win. And an elbow strike/head to solar plexus/kick in the knee will overpower your hooks and jabs.
Boxing is a great sport but won’t matter in a fight with no rules. Do Krav Maga if that’s what you’re after. But why would you be anyway if you’re not an insecure fag with anger issues or live in the slums.

What probably happened in reality is you beat one guy up who was experienced but much smaller than you and then lost to guys your size or within 50lbs lower and are doctoring the narrative.

I've been training kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu for about ~7 months now, and trying to do that while powerlifting is impossible. Before I started martial arts my maxes were above 2/3/4/5, but within 7 months they've all decreased significantly. You need to pick a focus because trying to do it all, even on an extreme bulk with three hours a day to spend training, will just get you injured and worn down. Now if you're roiding this might be a different story.

I'm pretty strong (1150 total at 180lbs) and I've never been in a fight. Get my ass kicked by anyone I bet. Got my nose broken by a tennis racket, so everyone thinks I want to wrestle when I'm hanging out with friends.

I have a friend who's tall and huge (former semipro wrestler) and he regularly gets bothered by assholes in bars who have something to prove.

The first 6 months I trained I didn't have a mouth guard. We also didn't have helmets like most faggoty gyms. Also the 2nd day I came the coach asked me if I wanna spar and I said sure and I got my nose busted. And I'm thankful and glad he let me spar and not being a fucking bitch about it.

Buddy idk where you're from. I live in Croatia and I went to a kickboxing club that was in a literal basement or some shit and as I said here I sparred on my 2nd day there and I had no protection besides the gloves and we also always fought like animals because why not. I genuinely enjoy sparring

Sometimes in sparring someone lands a harder shot than they were expecting, the other person steps into the jab or slips into a hook etc, shit happens.
