I was a fat fuck as a kid, and eventually got tired of it. I've spent the last 6 years or so extremely dedicated to my health, even to the point that my friends and girlfriend poke fun at me for being too strict on what I eat, working out/running too often, etc.
I'm an avid soccer (football) player, and recently committed to a D2 college for it. That's something I'm very proud of considering I was legitimately obese at one point in my life.
Anyways, a while ago I got my blood tested to see if I was able to be put on a new skin care routine. The results showed that my liver enzymes were extremely high, and my liver was most likely severely inflamed.
The doctor believes it to come from a pill my dermatologist had me take nightly for over a year, when it is only supposed to be taken for a week or so.
I've had my blood work retested for a few months now, with no improvement. Next month I'm being referred to a specialist before possible liver failure.
tfw eating grilled food instead of fried won't help me live past 20
Livers are very resilient brah. Especially if you're young with no outward symptoms you should make a full recovery in no time. You'll be able to continue your quest for decades to come.
William Hill
you're gonna make it, Messi
Brandon Peterson
I too had my life destroyed by internal acne meds but I at least recovered after 4 years, some ER visits, and some cancer scares. Wishing you and your liver the best.
It's literally chemo, it's fucking terrible for you and the cavalier attitude american derms have towards prescribing it for acne(!!!) is fucking absurd to me.
David Cruz
Yeah, every time I go he asks if I feel any abdominal soreness, and I don't, so it can't be too bad, right? Won't even get to make my debut against Madrid.
Luke Ramirez
some *cyclines and then isotretinoin
Michael Turner
The liver can regenerate itself even from one small piece. Make sure to be healthy and don't die while it happens. Don't eat shit that causes problems, like alcohol
Lucas Jones
I just searched it and apparently it can take 1 week to 6 months for a liver which had 2/3 of it cut out to regenerate completely.
Chase Stewart
I feel like I left out the most important part, I still have fucking cystic acne, just now with worse vision, permanently dry lips, and an autoimmune disease pain management plan. Never go to a dermatologist and never let a family member bully you about it, they're complete cunts and so are dermatologists.
Julian Brooks
Entire pharma industry is fucked. I don't trust doctors anymore, knowing that it's all motivated by profit.
Isaac Morgan
I'll try my best to stay alive lol
And I've only ever drank a handful of times in my life, and most definitely won't while this is going on.
Colton Allen
Yeah, the pill was doxycycline and I also use a tretinoin topical.
Henry Barnes
Lol you could have used a dermaroller for acne. Never take meds unless it's absolutely necessary, like you need now for your liver
Nicholas Collins
Life isn't fucking fair bro
Note this isn't actually about me, it's a guy I know but I'm telling it as if it were me >be me >49 years old >ate like shit all my life, live of fast food >only thing I ever drink is pepsi >started smoking heavily at 10 years old and only quit a year ago >heavy drinker from 14 years old till now >got addicted to heroin at 19, and was on it for 20 years until getting clean >done pretty much every drug under the sun >been in 6 bad car crashes but worst injury was only a broken arm >been shot twice >fat as fuck since quitting heroin (been fat for 10 years), and now weigh roughly 500lbs >still have full set of teeth with zero cavities, only slightly yellow >absolutely zero health problems and still going strong >will likely still be around for another 50 years I wish you the best and hope you turn out to be fine, we need more men like you in a world of soibois and lardasses. Godspeed user
Don't listen to this fag OP he is essentially telling you to give up
Andrew Mitchell
Best of luck op, you will get through this. I know how that feels, was diagnosed with AIH at 14 years old, kind of lucky it was found that early. 24 now, been on meds since but its all good. What are the enzymes like user? You had a biopsy?
Brayden Ward
Dude sounds like a massive chad Tbh
Eli Hernandez
Yeah he's not quite chad but his genetics must be perfect. He also somehow grew to 6'3" despite all the growth stunting factors, and breezed through highschool and college with top grades even though he was fucked off his head 24/7 and never even attended classes. His only problem is that he's never been in good shape, he was fat through all his childhood but when full blown auschwitz when he was on heroin, and now he's fat again. He also never had a job, and lifelong neetbux isn't quite chad level. He could've been a chad among chads if he tried though
