At what weight is it appropriate to stop cleaning your OHP and use the squat rack instead?

never ever

probably a couple

there's literally no way you could strict ohp a weight you can't clean.
except if your clean technique is the biggest shit ever, and in that case work on that

2pl8

This. Your clean should be leagues above your OHP

Do you guys not have a OHP rack with a chair or is standing just superior?

first time you ever overhead press. Why waste precious energy on cleaning the weight? No wonder u incels cant progress on ohp

neither. Sitting right on the floor and doing OHP with the safety bars of the squat rack is the best.

Well unless it's a power clean, right?

No

I can muscle clean more than I can ohp

When you start using a barbell.

Well yeah but maybe a guy wants to save his back for deadlifts on another day. Ever think of that fuckass?

Your OHP should be less than half your DL. You going to strain yourself on that shit, you dyel faggot?

If I'm OHP'ing the point for me is to press the weight, not clean it first. Besides my gym has enough racks that I can take one to OHP and not be interfering with anybody's workout.

>oh no, I hurt my back cleaning 65 lbs
>how will I deadlift my max of 135 now

Cleans are unnecessary. God invented a rack for a reason.
Based.

yep. thread full of incels with 95 ohp 1rms.

Do you cry about having to walk out for your squat too? Faggot

>god invented a rack for a reason
yeah the boobs kind of rack amirite haha

This seems unnecessary. Are you guys doing okay?

actual retard here, can anyone tell me what the thing is around the barbell?

log bar

My arms are too long so if I try to do OHPs in the power cage they hit the top. Nature's way of telling me not to be a faggot, I guess.

Cleans are not deadlifts and have very little to do with your back you fucking baboon. Fix your technique.

Im a small guy and I can power clean 150 easy, no way in hell I'm ohping that

3 times bodyweight.

I was supposed to be cleaning it?
