music production and cooking mostly. I'd like to pick up woodworking at some point, not sure where to start though.
Skinnyfat manlet here. What's the best way to get rid of a pot belly? I don't drink or smoke and I try to eat healthy? Should I start lifting or running?
Brayden Gomez
pick up a hammer, circle saw, measuring tape, and a speed square. start by making a couple of shitty workbenches to get you started. learn as you go, and remember the safety manual for every tool you pick up.
Should I skip if my arm joints are getting sore? I might just do legs and ab stuff this week, maybe some deadlifts. Inb4 we get shuffled off the board.
Samuel Perry
Never "skip"- replace If your can't use your arms, use your legs. If you can't use your body use your mind.
I do most of this stuff, but one fucking habit I have a hard time breaking is reading hentai. The girls are too perfect compared to real life. Help pol

How do i sleep anons? I am constantly in half asleep/dreaming state and cannot fall into deep sleep, ever. I am always too fucking tired to do anything. How am i supposed to lift when i am half dead? Tried melatonin already, did not do shit for me

I fucked up, but can i save it? She said it was completely broken, not worth fixing. Shes in next week, do i ask to drive her home or, at least, if she has a ride then?

I'm reading a very long history of Rome and Italy, the more you read about the fall of Rome the more you see the West

Don't take caffeine too late in the day. Don't nap in the middle of the day. Read a book or meditate before bed. If you can, use your bedroom only for sleep. Don't do work or browse the internet in your room.
I generally do 5-6 miles twice a week, but it's mostly walking because my legs and chest start to hurt after jogging for too long.
I want to have more endurance. Would it be better to do 3-4 miles three or four times a week at a higher pace? Some weeks I can't do that because of rain, snow, or whatever. I'm also concerned about recovery time.

If it was an initiation, she would have asked for a ride rather than hinted that she needed one. It's not pessimism to avoid people who request favors by hinting- they do that in order to gather favors without building any duty for reciprocity. It's an inherently manipulative action. (Not saying that this chick is doing that in real life, just a general rule that I'm applying to my interpretation of the situation).

Of course. Do HIIT every other day, it's much less time consuming than regular cardio and burns fat like nothing.
If possible, do a keto diet. I promise you will be skinny after a month of these 2.

>Raising chickens and rabbits right now. How free range can you let rabbits be. Will they burrow out of a field and spread beyond your property if they have access to bare earth. Regarding chickens same question, is it viable to keep them only for meat, and let them shelter under trees and bushs rather than a chicken coup.

What do you guys do to get your hand-eye coordination fix? Sports are mainly for children and niggers and video games are for bugmen

These are for low IQ people that can't do anything in moderation and project their issues onto others, because they couldn't make their beds or clean their rooms. Then they decided everything but being a social outcast monk like being, aka incel continuation, was better than anything else. It's for the hopeless, trying to find hope, instead of the rope.
Hudson Price
Forgive me padre, for I have almost relapsed into porn today. I already had my dick in hand and a bunch of tabs opened, but then I came to my senses (not my hand), and ceased that faggotry. That's what I get for pussying out and skipping the kickboxing class today due to excessive muscle fatigue from bjj yesterday. I already regret not going. Its like one weak decision automatically makes other bad shit more appealing.
On an unrelated note, any of you guys thought of learning the major world languages, to a basic level of spoken proficiency, through the use of Pimsleur audio courses? I plan to do Spanish first, then Russian, then Chinese Mandarin, maybe German. The idea is, with those languages you'll be able to talk with 90% or so of humanity, in addition to expanding your intellect.
Anyone here do BJJ? I'm thinking about finding a gym, but I'm not sure how to fit training between work and lifting. How often do you need to train to become competitive at a reasonable pace?
Matthew Rivera
I know that feel. Been an insomniac since I was a little kid. I cycle between benzo's, zopiclone and baclofen and by doing that, avoid addiction and tolerance.
It's fucked up but at least I was well rested and it gave me some peace. Tried all the meme answers as well, from salt lamps to no blue lights, no caffeine, sleep hygiene to supplements.

Italian, "Storia d'Italia" (the first book is Storia di Roma) by Montanelli I have an old edition I bought Marco Aurelio thoughts too
Dylan Lee
Unfortunately this is all I have from a folder I made years ago.
I might be able to answer that. Been training for 5 months, gonna do my first competition on the 20th of May. Fitting bjj to work is easy as piss. Most classes are fitted to a 9-5 working man, dunno what your schedule is, but I'm sure you'll be able to find something that fits it. I do 3x a week now, also trying to do kickboxing 2x a week, but I'm still working up to it.
As for lifting, its a bit more complex. I used to lift a lot when I first started. Then lifting gradually took a backseat, as I realised I liked bjj far more, and that lifting negatively impacted my rolling. You can't lift at 80% of your pr for sets and then roll the next day at max intensity, not for more than a week or so. Its gonna fucking kill you. Also, I may have a 70kg ohp, but my shoulders are so tight, I tap to a kimura or a keylock before my opponent even finishes the technique. Not having a good stretching routine is definitely going to limit your mobility big time. So now I only lift occasionally, and mostly stuff like oly lifts to help with explosive hip movements, and try to do lots of stretching. That being said, most pro bjj competitors incorporate weights into their conditioning. It just takes experience and planning to do it right.
I know it's not, but most of people thinks only at the barbars and Christianity A guess: who says that abortion was a very big cause? But it was, because it was so widespread that basically killed the ruling patrician class and even affected the whole Italian population Nobody was doing children anymore, the old Roman families were extinct, Rome itself was big but full of imported shitskins and jews
Tyler Lopez
Different strokes for different folks, for me its BJJ all day erryday. But its apples to oranges, really, both are needed for full fruity goodness. Striking without grappling will get you choked to death, grappling without striking is more doable, but knowing how to punch or kick someones face in is just manly as fuck.
Martial arts is fun though, it's like I'm in recess at Elementary school again.
Easton Morales
>lifting or running? lifting AND walking lots of walking >but isn't running better than walking you burn more calories per minute by running, but you can walk for much much longer, so it adds up to more.
Jack Ward
Beer is filled with empty calories. If you're gonna do a little bit of drinking then drink hard liquor. Heavy drinking is degenerate regardless.
When I move in a couple years I plan to learn defense, hunting, fishing and some survival.
Meanwhile I'm trying to read everyday and learn to cook new recipes from my Dad so I can sustain myself without any fast food ever. The hardest thing to do will be to find an aryan virgin qt girl to marry and have 3+ children with.
Charles Martinez
Where I live, escape is less of a problem than natural predators. There are specific breeds of chickens, some are more fit for living free range, some are more fit for a cooped up-life. Some are heavy egg producers, some produce less, and it all depends on the weather and sunlight and shit of that nature. If you're interested, talk to someone where you live or plan to live and put in a few hours of research. If you put in enough hours of planning, you can have a very rewarding and low-maintenance system of producing your own eggs and chickens.
One guy you may want to look up is Joe Salatin, I think that's how his last name is spelled. There is a whole alternative-farming community in the states and he's probably the most famous name in the game. There's a lot of info on youtube regarding newer techniques of farming and etc. that probably aren't common in your community.
Robert Rogers
I really wish I would get into Bee keeping + knitting and sewing other than that I'm ok on all points >t. trade craft fag in the suburbs
As long as you keep your diet on point, grappling will at the very least get you ottermode. Wrestlers have amazing physiques, if they do it right. And I didn't say give up, just modify, if you end up like me and decide that bjj is more enjoyable. Its totally possible to lift hard and do some light bjj twice a week. But usually people either get really into it, or quit soon after starting, just from what I see.
Aaron Gonzalez
Can I learn a martial art if I train 6 times a week push/pull/leg? I will not lose any days of weightlifting and cannot do risky things that can cause injury.
Gabriel Allen
>and let them shelter under trees and bushs rather than a chicken coup. lolwut. I'm sure the foxes will appreciate you buying them lunch.
David Jackson
You can't do martial arts/combat sports without some risk of injury, sorry leafbro. Cauliflower ears are a given, joint sprains are guaranteed. You can avoid breaks if you're careful, but if you train consistently, you WILL get injured.

Muay thai here for 2 years now did 3-4x a week or more depending on time, now 5x a week to stay in shape. Took me 3 months to get conditioned, after 8 months I was "competent" Had my first fight a year ago but I mostly go for sparring. Just remember not to get injured and to overtrain your shit,it will stop your progress/set you back.
Buddy you're gonna get hurt. Athletes get hurt all the time. You know why all those SS guys had scars on their faces? It was a lesson on losing and still fighting after you lose.
Started work on my very first vegetable garden today. Working the soil by hand for the extra workout/experience doing things the old fashioned way. Listened to old big band music while doing it.
>The ultimate objective is for you to look like pic related.
why? for what purpose?
Kevin Davis
Are you me? What is your routine?
I have been trying 3 days lift, 3 day MA, but am having the same EXACT issues you are with flexibility and energy levels. It's like I can only do one or the other. Here is what I'm trying to do:
My BJJ coach says I need a day of just stretching and cardio instead of lifting. I am absolutely fucked on WED. Sore, no flexibility, sapped for energy. I had to take a week off of both to recoup.

Serious question guys, I'm 2 years from graduating medschool and 21 years old (in mexico you tipically still live at your parents through college unless your from a shithole state within this shithole country) and I've recently started a business which is working out pretty well. My question is, should I look into moving on my own? I´ve thought about the benefits it may have such as disciplining myself into paying bills and having more responsabilities but I´m hesitant about it because right now not paying for myself I can save a shit ton of money, but I think that makes me a litte beta? I dunno what do you guys think? would leaving home and getting by on your own seriously improve yourself?
Nicholas Martin
Thanks. Here natural predators are plentiful, but I'm wondering if chickens not kept in a coop will be more fox resistant, in the long term.
Jason Davis
if you aren't too bad you won't get hurt also like this user said it depends on what you understand under getting hurt >joint sprains especially in the beginning but your body will get used to it and you will get conditioned
What are you growing user? I just built my mom a bunch of raised cedar garden planters and shes planted lettuce, peppers, jalepnos, and beans for making chili. Once i move out of the city apartment I can get a planter.
David Thomas
>would leaving home and getting by on your own seriously improve yourself? yes if you can afford it go for it
Benjamin Davis
> I´ve thought about the benefits it may have such as disciplining myself into paying bills and having more responsabilities If you are starting a business you are already better at this than the 90% of university students, if you save a shitton of money just save them
Robert Stewart
And you're interpreting it that way because you don't WANT that user to succeed. Failure is hard written into your psyche which you project onto others; this is why you'll always be a loser.
Angel Long
Whats the business? Just curious. Its my dream to own my own business.
Nolan Fisher
No. Focus on exercises that involve a lot of muscles, like squat, deadlift, chin up and standing overhead press. They also build your abs.
At my gym there is this guy who does a million different ab exercises and lower back exercises and nothing more. I saw him doing the crunch machine with 30 kg once. I don't do any ab exercises except some ab wheel some times, usually I only do squat, deadlift, overhead press and chin up, yet I can easily do the crunch machine with 70 kg (maximum weight). Been going to the gym for about 12 months.
