New here

Hello,

I've just started trying to lose some weight.

I'm now eatting around 2 - 3 meals. (Mainly rice, chicken, fruits and veggies in medium portions.)

I've also been running nearly everyday for about 2 weeks.

Is there anything else I can do to accelerate fat loss?

Not getting bored of my routine, just looking to improve.

take stimulants and stop eating. or just be more patient

Reduce carbs like rice and replace it with more lean protein

What stimulants?

And if I stop eatting 2 -3 meals a day, doesn't that slow down your metabolism?

thanks

Hmm, I was told rice was okay.

So like yogurt and fish?

thanks

Rice is okay but you asked how to accelerate. Less carbs and more lean protein is the answer.

yoghurt is a meme food except for priobiotic health

look at the nutritional value has more fat and carbs than protein

no, dont fall for the metabolism memes

actually ive found studies that metabolism does decrease on 3 meals a day but not on intermittent fasting

but that study cited high carbs specifically so im guessing 3 meals a day without many carbs would negate that metabolism drop effect without intermittent fasting

actually intermittent fasting is solid and legit have you tried it op?

18 hours fasting 8 hours where you eat then repeat

No I haven't

So its like 18 hrs no food and 8 hrs I can eat my normal foods?

OP still: Plus exercise ofc

yeah just keep it nutricious and on a caloric deficit

i prefer to do intermittent fasting so i can eat a big meal at the end of the day before bedtime

you can also take part of the giant meal calories and reduce it and instead eat like a handful of nuts throughout the day, they are high on fat so should keep you in ketosis

either way intermittent fasting actually increases your metabolism and you have a steady supply of energy (fat). its switching from carbs to fat as energy source that gives you that energy loss so in general i propose to keep the carbs low. you can eat lots of healthy fats though (just dont go crazy) like avocado, nuts, animal fats, cheese fats, just dont eat more than lets say 100 grams of carbs per day

youre welcome fatty, godspeed

Take the GOMAD pill

its a marathon not a race

that said ephedrine could help

remember that macronutrient ratios or limiting/restricting/extreme diets are irrelevant

you'll lose just as much weight eating huge amounts of carbs as you will no carbs

only thing that matters is calories in vs calories out

also meal frequency and timing makes virtually no difference too

you just need to find how many calories you burn on your average day, and subtract a significant amount from that, like 500 or 1000

you could also add 500 calories worth of cardio if you dont want to subtract 500 from your diet

bless

Buy a food scale and figure out exactly how much food you're having, don't settle for vague stuff like "medium portions". Calculate your calorie intake, use an online calculator to discover what your TDEE is. Make that shit mathematical.

Cut the rice and fruit entirely. Add more broccoli, spinach, and eggs.
