What bothers me about Alan... well, first: a disclamer: He's obviously doing fine and doesn't need to take advice from a loser like me. He built a business he's passionate about, bought a house, got married, started family and is now a father, and he has some minor e-fame, which is just enough to help pay the bills and provide a bit of a self-esteem boost of self-importance, but not enough to (seemingly) corrupt him in any major way. He's had some success with his hobbies, and to top it all off, he served as a marine and had an honorable job while in it, despite having a negative outlook at that portion of his life - it's something that you'll always have as a "badge of honor." So, I'll say it again - he doesn't need my help.
That being said, I just wish he'd drop the whole schtick he has. The reason it bothers me, I think it's false. He's made a lot of videos about the beard - it's because it's a backlash against how the military made him shave. Dude, we get it... it's been like 10 years since you got out, it's been so long. You're no longer that person. But he's become attatched to it, and his image at large. That's why it perturbs so many people. It is without substance, as is stuff like OP pic related. He's in this weird state of somehow still wanting "explosive" growth of his youtube channel, so he's still dishing out meme pics and tryhard clickbait titles.
I just want him to get a handsome haircut, focus on upper body aesthetics for a bit, and calm the fuck down - just a notch. Stop trying to make everyone laugh and like you. Maybe even lower the voice volume and just speak to us like human beings. I believe this would be Alan's final form, and I believe it may happen as he raises his son.
