Anyone else have classic boomer parents? Dad was born in '61, mom in '62, and both of them are the most selfish, greedy people I could think of.

>tell my dad I'm thinking about looking for a new job, I'm tired of working 50+ hours per week for a $45k salary
>mom jumps into the conversation "well first jobs are SUPPOSED to be terrible back when we first started working it was expected that you'd work 70 hours per week
>she was an english major, never worked a job after graduating college

>tell my parents I wish I could take a trip back to Florida to see some of my college friends but I can't afford it
>oh yeah, I know that feeling, we haven't been on a vacation since we spent a week in the Bahamas over thanksgiving

>tell my parents I'm trying to put money away for retirement from each of my paychecks
>nice work user, you'll need it, we haven't saved nearly as much as we should for retirement, but thankfully the inheritences from our parents will take care of that

Oh, and just to top it all off, their "retirement" plan is to sell their house and buy a condo on the beach in Mexico and blow the rest of their money on food, booze, and drugs. Fuck boomers, fuck old people. They had the wealth of generations given to them, and they spent it all on themselves.

Can't say the same about my parents. Both came from a former Soviet country and were pretty poor their whole life. I guess being a boomer only applies to westerners?

Exactly. White westerners.

Nope my parents are 52 and 57 and they gave me the world along with support in my endeavors. Try not having shitty parents next time

Born in years '52 and '57 to clarify

What is it with amerimutts pretending to be Slavic or Baltic these days? Do they think being a post Soviet country is cool? The degradation of culture sure was cool for us yes totally

Are you full autismo? That's the other user saying he is slavic. I am a WHITE MAN

Fuck you Gomelsky

The worst part about boomers is that social security sustains them via the hard work of the current generations, but the system is inherently flawed because it's based on infinite growth which is impossible so it will collapse when the generations paying for it are finally old enough to benefit from it.

I've got Aspergers and get along with Boomers more than I do people my age who hate individuality for some reason.

I thought Slavs and Balts were white. They look white to me.

My generation has always treated me worse than the Boomers and would keep me down economically too because they think fitting in is everything. So why should I side with them?

white means whatever white people want it to mean.

back in the day irishmen weren't white. In a hundred years even dark skin hispanics will be white.

this is why I'm not worried about "white" replacement because white will just absorb basically anyone.

Sounds like you're the selfish one actually

Sorry to break it to you, both parents are Polish and I was born in western Europe. Never been to burgerland before, haven't planned on it either.

The irony that a post-communist state thinks Americans are trying to replicate them.

Protip, retard: Your Adidas track suit isn't Russian and your gopnik rap definitely isn't either.

Can't wait for boomers to seethe hard when the housing market inevitably crashes.

Not me, but I live in a normie area (I guess most people do?). Parents who got promoted to managers/executives without degrees, people whose parents became doctors with the same debt I have from four years. Parents who work lazy jobs with the government, and have been there so long they're making $100+k doing piss work. I tutored with students and fortunately many of the students I worked with had less delusional outcomes, usually cause they were kinda... not gifted, let's put it, and came from more troubling backgrounds. Only reason I got an AS was because I was living with my parents and the school gave me back money every semester (CC).

Even the adults who weren't in higher education when they were younger, most of them have some job that made enough money to have 2+ kids on. These days you're lucky to afford an apartment on $12/hour commuting an hour a day. In a sick way I feel better when I run into unemployed older people, but I know it's a greedy bastard problem from the top, not from us not having enough useful work to do.

Do you understand how markets work user? The house my parents bought for 300 something is still worth 500+ today even after 2008

Quit being poor, quit being a bitter manchild

your parents are Gen X not boomers. Boomers were born in the 40s and 50s.

nope. boomers were born 1945-1965. OP's parents are late boomers.

You can't be a Boomer if you don't remember the JFK assassination.
