Big Bang Theory is at least interesting in a meta sense. Like the utilization of nerd brands to rope in fake nerds, and out of touch gen-x-ers who think nerds really act that way. HIMYM is just garbage for failed normies to relate to. The main character is just some detestable bland cunt who has a regular group of friends, and moderate girl problems. An uninteresting show for uninteresting people.
