Personally I like to alternate between 15 minutes of high intensity intervals of stair climber or running before my workouts to get my circulatory system flowing. I find it enhances muscle performance during weight lifting by increasing oxygen levels in the blood.

Two cups of strong coffee a day, train to be a freediver, and probably mostly HIIT. I do 2 min rows on rowing machine and 2 min rest, repeat three times and try and beat total set last session. My heart rate used to be nearly half that but I'm old and boomer now.

Further, the idea that resistance training provides the same stimulus for fitness as cardio is like saying marathon training does the same as resistence training as long as you do it on hills. It’s technically true, but you’d be retarded to think the magnitude of the training effect is within even a factor of log.
Unironically start doing cardio immediately. My dad is over 60, overweight, and his is lower than that. RHR should be under 60 for fit people, under 45 for endurance athletes.

Unless it's like right after waking up. And don't compare it to other people because everyone is different. There are many fatty's with low heart rates and visa versa.
