My first year into lifting I started with the cut + bulk cycle. Like a typical Jow Forums user I bulked on a bunch of shitty food, fast food, McDonald’s, pizza you name it. I gained mass but I gained a lot of fat too and I wasn’t in very good shape. Got out of breath really easily and also found it pretty hard to cut.

Now about 1.5 years I do a lot of cardio when cutting and just keep it in moderation when bulking. It has a lot of benefits for your conditioning, your heart, and how nutrients are processed in your body. Also helps regulate your hormones too if you don’t overdo it

I do lots of biking because i popped my meniscus and its the only way I can do squats and martial arts again

When I do cardio I can feel my gains slipping away.

I go to the gym at about 5 am. After I'm done lifting, I do 25 minutes of cardio with the couch to 5k app. I put some music on and go. It's kinda nice. Just me and my tunes.

There's no grand reason. I don't like cardio, so I don't do it. I like lifting weights, so I lift weights. Literally that simple.

Running outside of the gym is free. Lifting outside of the gym is a four figure investment.

All of my cardio is done outside. Why would I run next pajeet and Stacy instead of lifting bars.

I can barely put on weight as it is, if I did cardio as well I wouldn't make any gains.

I do around 45m cardio fasted in the morning 7 days a week and lift in the evening 6 days a week. Cardio is far more important than lifting for your heath. Neglecting cardio is just lazy.

You're correct that it is healthy, and it is what shuld be done if you care mostly about health. But a lot of people have other ideas of what lifting is mainly for. That's ok, let them do what they want. I do weights, core work, and cardio every session, because I like them all for different reasons. Lifting is the most fun, though

cardio is done for your heart and lungs but when you lift weights you also work your heart and lung as well as building muscle. there is literally no reason for cardio unless you intend to run a marathon or some other ego project.

Have any of you considered rowing? I do 2k on the erg every 2/3 workouts. It helps me do more volume on weights and I feel better than when I just lift.
