Why? He destroyed Englands economy?

John Brown is my favorite American historical figure.

hitler

Wait a moment
From an objective view, he was okay and a good man, especially during the First World War, but due to his past, and the state of Germany at the time he had been dillisuioned with the idea of a good, and pure humanity, which was his downfall.
Glad the fucker is dead though, hope he rots in Hell with Stalin that cunt

But that's not fair at all. Stalin was the one who helped rebuild Poland after its destruction by Hitler.

By “rebuild” you mean institute a puppet government, rape and steal from her residents, and refuse money supposed to be given by the Germans to the Poles postww2?
Then yeah, they “rebuilt” Poland

You're wrong. Stalin was pretty great.

Just like those people he starved, sent as slaves to gulags, forced into the military, and killed officers because of his paranoia alone.

I've seen documentaries done by your own countrymen, and they showed me the prosperous nation that used to exist there. You're spouting nationalist propaganda.

Again, nationalist bullshit propaganda. The Holodomor famine was caused by capitalist kulaks, and the officers he ordered to be killed were revisionists that wanted to turn the country into a state capitalist country like modern-day China.

You do know my people were under a puppet government controlled by the USSR, right?
My grandfather was not even allowed to speak about certain topics “or else”
And the entirety of Poland was shifted into an underground state of the free people.
Also no, he killed officers because he feared the POSSIBILITY of them betraying him, so he killed them, and replaced them with inexperienced loyalists which killed much too many(purposefully or otherwise)
As someone who has had family in Nazi Germany, and the Soviet Union, I can say with confidence that Communism and Fascism both must be eradicated, perhaps not certain ideas from them, but overall need to be destroyed.

If we're talking about artists, then it's Merzbow, Venetian Snares and CDR

If we're talking about politics, then it's Albert Camus

>You do know my people were under a puppet government controlled by the USSR, right?
About as much of a puppet as France was to America, or in other words, not at all.
There was some major influence, but the Polish government acted on its own accord.

>My grandfather was not even allowed to speak about certain topics “or else”
Define "certain topics".

>Entirety of Poland
What do you mean here? The Polish people were free to choose whatever profession they wanted and had more free time than any Western European worker.

>he killed officers because he was paranoid
Oh, okay. The state was wrong for properly dealing with someone that turned himself into a threat. Sure.

>Commies are just as bad as Nazis
Excuse me, but what the fuck? Did the Russians round your family up and gas them or some shit? This is blatantly fallacious.

Nestor makhno

>Define "certain topics"
He actually never specified, only thing I could figure out was his father died while he was young, and took a job scanning certain machines within factories to check for damage

>Oh, okay. The state was wrong for properly dealing with someone that turned himself into a threat. Sure.
By threat you mean question his rule?
Then yes

>About as much of a puppet as France was to America, or in other words, not at all.
There was some major influence, but the Polish government acted on its own accord.
So you mean when the Soviet Union created an army of Polish when Hitler invaded and then they had “voted” for Communism to take hold once they liberated Poland? I’m which there is little evidence that they had indeed voted?

>Excuse me, but what the fuck? Did the Russians round your family up and gas them or some shit? This is blatantly fallacious.
You’re joking right? You act as if the USSR has never deported the Poles across Russia in cattle cars to conduct in slave Labour, and executed the officers at Katyn, or raped and pillaged their way through Europe in the “Great Rape of Europe”

I'll educate myself some more on the socialist-era of Poland before continuing this certain debate. I will take your criticism and experience into mind, though.

I’lol call that a moral victory

Doesn't matter. There are no victories in debates since they are just exchanges of ideas to learn from one another.
I haven't bothered to learn more about the Warsaw Pact nations since I focused my research on pre-1953 Soviet Union and modern-day critiques of capitalism. Like I said, I'll fix that, and then we can have a more proper discussion.

Understandable, but rather than look at critiques only on capitalism, you look at communism, socialism, anarchism, and etc, and I’ll do the same, as we should not be supporting what we believe, but what we understand will work, communist, capitalist, monarchist, or otherwise
As the Russians say: “Everything they told us about Communism was a lie, but everything they told us about Capitalism was true.”
And yes, there are no “real winners” there are “moral winners” who have bested someone else in anything without an actual victory. You to me, or me to you.
