Terrible nighttime
A normal, awful, daily
thing that needs to end

I'm just getting into them. Any suggestions on where to start or ones you like?

Reference wise wiki foes a food job describing the types. As far as forums or groups I don't really know. I just do them for fun (sonnets too) as a brain exercise. I like metaphorical or hilarious ones. There really isn't a bad haiku as long as you do them right.

selfish separation
self inflicted sanity

No one uses the 5-7-5 format anymore, anons. I should know -- I've been published in every major haiku magazine in the Anglosphere.

Do some research. Check out Modern Haiku Magazine, Frogpond Journal, etc. Sometimes, single words get published. I started writing haiku as a joke, but when they started picking mine up, I kept going.

I love all you anons
Wonder if you love me back
One can only hope

Never trust holes
Never show love to it
you fall in hole

This is interesting. Are you a KHHV? This seems like an autism hobby. Are haiku poets generally robots?

actually i chose
to write a haiku each day
instead of journals

That seems really cool
Haikus are a healthy way
To express yourself

journals tire me out
so i chose shorter formats
to express my day

What are you thinking?
That is what I'm always asked
I never tell them.

haikus are for nubs. five-seven-five is my cock length real artists write books

You tried to make fun
Your syllable count is wrong
Seven has two counts

wake up alone
more tired each day
only on my room
can I pretend to be okay

Life is a haze
ahead is my prize
i can't see through the mist
