What kind of garbage gym do you go to that mandates everyone benching to have a spotter? I've tried out pretty much every mainstream gym, plus a few school gyms and smaller independent gyms and literally none of them have ever made a rule that you must have a spotter to bench, much less enforced it. Not even Planet Fitness has rules that overbearing.
