It's not. It's what specific proteins do to inflamed arteries that cause heart diseaee. If you have inflammation in your arteries and you have a high amount of small low density lipoproteins those lipoproteins can become oxidized and create a plaque where the inflammation occurs. Cholesterol has nothing to do with it. The lipoproteins use cholesterol to repair damage in your body. High cholesterol is actually a good thing.

Not good. Anything with maltitol is essentially half a carb. Also too much maltitol will send you to the shitter and subsequently dehydrate you.

Not terrible in small doses, but not intended to be low calorie or used for removing sugar cravings. Better off with very dark chocolate or chocolate quest bars.
