Of course. Both programs have you doing 8-12 reps on assistance lifts like db bench on off days. So when you do your barbell oph, you will db bench. When you barbell bench, you db ohp.

5/3/1 BBB is a lot of volume. I reckon it's best to start off with 5/3/1 FSL (first set last). You do your 3 main sets, then do 5x5 @ your first set weight.

And that's training max, which is 90% of your max. So if your backsquat is 230, your training max is 207 and thus your first weeks numbers would be 135, 155, 175, then 135 5x5

I'm a different guy. I've been doing 5x5 with 85%+ though and then dropping it down to 3x6-8 with 70% and no real issues.
