Well quads and hamstrings can get big with training, but calves are hard to grow if u don't have genetics for them

legs are my favorite to work, wish I could only do legs but then I'd end up trex mode.

don't squat heavy everyday if hypertrophy is your goal, if you want massive legs quicker then add in some high volume squats 3x12rm, and some drop sets, so 1x12rm -> failure, drop weight appriate to how much your 12rm is, example 120kg, drop 10-20kg and then do another set straight away to failure, you can keep dropping weight until you are failing with only the bar but that'd be overkill, 1-2 drop sets is enough for most people but if you really want to tear your quads load up those drop sets.

Mate I am already on hypertrophy block with squatting (2x a week) in 8-12 rep range + assistance single leg work. Trying my hardest to grow quads using mechanical tension and metabolic fatigue, but I am afraid that they'll always look lanky due my short torso and long leg built.

I've always had big thighs and stick calves.
My Dad also has stick calves, but his thighs look a lot less thick than mine, though he is 6'5 and I'm 5'10.5

My brother's legs are a bit similar to mine, but his calves aren't as bad.

Lots of biking I think has contributed to this as well as my knee pain, although strangelt enough many serious cyclists have huge calves. When I do calf raises, they seem to work somewhat but also hurt my knees a lot.

i had some friends who were girls who felt differently.

i think women generally care more about upper body appearance, but stick calves like mine are a turn off. they look feminine

i feel like my tight hamstrings, big quads and weak calves/ankles are all related but not really sure.

I have accepted i have shit tier genetics for calves. My quads and hammies are a different story though. I do wish i had some juicy calves though.
