It's ridiculous, I have a good relationship with my parents and we help each other. Some of my friends from divorced households or stupid boomer parents think the fact that they were neglected is something to take pride in because they had it tougher. Then they go on to be shit parents themselves. It's crazy how romanticized this stupidity has become in here. I get it if you want to leave if you have bad parents but it's not something to be happy about.
