I used to carry one for work it was a Spyderco Delica but I couldn't be bothered to sharpen it all the time. So I eventually just switched to a utility knife with replaceable blades.

Nope. Besides, if you live in a noncucked state like I do, you can conceal carry firearms without a permit anyway. I don't consider my knife my primary means of self defense when I'm carrying.

Also my state says in its laws that pocket knives are regarded as tools, not weapons, and are only considered that in context of places that are established as weapons-free zones, such as judicial buildings. Even children are legally allowed to conceal carry pocket knives here.

This thing on my keychain, I have a lot of knives as I collect them, but in everyday life this is all I need, I luckily live in such a bumfuck european country, way way out in a very small city surrounded by hick villages and farming towns that I don't need to defend myself at all from niggers and druggies. I'm more likely to be mauled by a bear or a wolf.

Anyway, H1 steel that can't rust, and the serrations are a good combo for this softer steel so it functions without having to be razor sharp all the time. Mostly I open letters, small packages, plastic bags, tape etc with it

At work though, I carry a Cold Steel Colossus because I do heavy industrial work (read as stroll around knee deep in energy waste and dead rats while dismantling shipments of anything from left over food to plastic that is send to be disposed that might be from unsold vacuums to industrial fans) it's a fancy landfill for most part so it's nice to have a bit more reach yet also be able to swing with it at stuff if needed

If I do go to the larger towns, well one of the two because it is a little country, I usually carry somethign small with me just in case, but ever since I started collecting 10 years ago I have never been even close to a situation where I need to use my knife for self defense, but I don't even bother visiting the absolute ghetto parts of the big cities because there is literally nothing there. My usual urban pal is a Benchmade Sequin or a SOG visionary (the smaller one)

Occasionally I switch up the knife I use at work, for example if I am going to be cutting a lot of rope, fully serrated spyderco. If I know the job will be literally shitty, some cheapo knife I can just throw away after all the shit swimming is done for the week.

It's not a country where everyday carry is legal unless you need it for your work, but it's not heavily moderated so don't be a tard with it and you can have it, don't swing it around like an idiot
