bench press is the best gauge of RAW PHYSICAL STRENGTH. you only downplay this because you're a pudgy, weak little shit of a manlet with an equally embarrassing bench press.

Break with knees and hips at the same time, not hips first - should prevent knee slide
Shove your elbows forward - should prevent upper back collapse

Particularly on the first rep, I can see you bending at the hips WAY before your knees break, causing you to look like a goodmorning at the start. Bend your knees as you bend your hips.

You also go deeper than necessary, which isn't a terrible problem to have, but stopping a little bit higher, and not so far past minimum depth, might give your knees a break.

All told, it's not that bad.

5th rep looked the most natrual of the set, especially coming up out of the bottom. you do not need to go that low like. pulling the bar down into my back has helped me with keeping my back up and everything tight. i use that as a key instead of fr's elbows forward

I recently did 160 kg for 10x3 at the end of smolov jr but I have never squatted more than 190 kg, which I did 3 years ago. Though around 3 months ago I did 185 kg for 3x2.

I'm well aware, I physically cannot go lower. Lots of sweat makes the suit much more grippy so it doesn't get seated how I would prefer. Plus gaining 5 lbs did not help.

The super centurian is the best single-ply squat suit as far as I know. Grooving it isn't the problem, it honestly just feels like the stronger that I get the harder it becomes to hit depth and the more weight I need to hit depth. When my max was prior to me hitting 515 I could practically snipe depth with 405 and knee sleeves. Now that I'm much stronger I need more weight. I needed a new bench shirt because my old one was shit and impossible to groove properly. This isn't the case with my squat suit.

i should have specified one that fits better. bigger legs, core, more fat will eventually make your current one unusable. going to a larger one, or getting one tailored , both with some room to grow, might fix everything like the grove fix when you got your new shirt

I mean it still fits fine imo, just means I can cheat up heavier weights because it's tighter :^). It took me absolutely forever to break in this suit, I am not looking forward to breaking in my inevitable next one in a couple years. And afaik, you want everything as tight as you can possibly handle it because then you can get more out of it.

It's irrelevant because I use wraps, not sleeves. I just do heavy singles/doubles/triples and then back offs but the sleeve work is so I'm working lighter than I normally do, kek. Honestly, this tells me that I desperately need to improve my wrapping, if I'm comfortably handling 45 lbs under my wrapped and suited max.

i get backing off, i squat without belts and wraps for backing off as well (today actually). half squatting is probably not what your program calls for, but if it does, so be it i guess. thats probably about the right number for your wraps though. do you pre-stretching them? do that and pull it through with some pliers.

Most people, unless they're incredibly strong, don't hit depth that far from their max. Most equipped squats are actually quite close to depth. Basically, with squats, I just go as low as I can. If I hit depth, great. If not, as long as it's not a max attempt, no big deal. I don't pretension them, but I do pull through with pliers. 45 lbs away with a double and @8.5 though? That seems quite unsubstantial.

thats a lie. everyone on our usapl college team hit depth down to the lowest weight class during practice. its was using the right gear for the right strength level.
try pretensions. itll get you a tighter wrap if you can get it right.

Idk, most people I've seen hit depth are quite close to their max, and weren't otherwise. I'm adapting, getting stronger, and hitting depth on my maxes, so I don't really see the problem. I'll definitely give pretensioning a go though, wrapping has always been my weak point. Gotta find some rubber bands to hold my wraps in place.

bad habits, and i also feel that there really isnt a point to doing sleeves if your not going to hit the muscles youre missing with wrapped squats. just my opinion though, most important thing is getting stronger.
