I ate a meal last night of steak, eggs and a bit of salad, around 7pm or so, idk if I should eat another meal today though, I'm still fat as fuck. I might fast for a few more days than refeed again.

I'm 6'2", and around 250lbs - If I did 3 day fasts then ate up to 4000 calories on one day, then another 3 day fast (and so on and so forth). Would I still lose weight comfortably?

I only say 4000 as an extremely conservative estimate because I can't be arsed counting calories. I can do 3 day fasts extremely easy and this would fit into my schedule perfectly with whatever I ate.

yeah look at it as a set 3 days fasting 1 eating day, 4000 / 4 means you are efficiently eating 1000 calories a day which will be pretty solid weight loss.

Please help me bros , I’ve noticed while I’m fasting (once i get past the second day ) i start sweating alot more than usual and my hands become slightly shaky(sign of hypoglycemia?).

Math , physics or anything that requires thinking and concentration becomes 10 times as hard even though i genuinely enjoy them . I’m also incredibly fatigued and unable to function , even killing time with video games becomes a chore so i just lay there feeling like shit .

I drink snake juice , but it’s under dosed on purpose . (I don’t know the exact amount of potassium in the salt but it’s definitely alot . I know too much potassium can fuck you up so i have to be careful and just go with 1 teaspoon of potassium salt and one tea spoon of normal salt everyday in a 2l bottle )

Sodium is needed mostly for the transmission of bioelectric signals in the brain and muscles. Potassium is needed in each cell. So you usually need more of it.

Okay, maybe I was a bit too harsh. I am just a bit concerned for you.

I honestly don't know. I only use the sodium and potassium. I also take them raw and drink water instead of mixing it in a snake jucie.
Then again I also take Magnesium because somehow I get some cramps on extended fasts. While I never heard of any of such complaints here aside from my experience.

Alright bros I've been fasting pretty hard, in two weeks I've lost 18lbs (from 255lbs to 237lbs). Started off with keto omad for the first week and now shifting into 48's & 72's.
Realistically, how much of those 18lbs is water weight? I usually guess that anything past 5lbs is mostly fat but this is pretty crazy weight to lose, even compared to my other fasts. Although I have been doing a lot of cardio on top of my usual lifting.
I like three eggs cooked over easy on top og a can of tuna mixed with 2tbsp mayo. Season eggs with garlic salt and tuna with lemon. Also called Fisherman's eggs.

I've had the same feeling with my gums. Just the overwhelming desire to chew. Wasn't even hungry. I wash my teeth like two times a day, and chew sugar-free gum.

Keto helped. Meat only (no eggs or dairy) cured it completely for me.

I'm going to experiment with adding back foods in the future but for now I'm happy and enjoying meat.

i don't have the beetus, but have a non-alcoholic fatty liver according to an ultrasound, which i'd like to get rid of via fasting, plus the bodyfat that goes with it.

I did intermittent fasting with the occasional 48h and 72h fast for about a year, lost around 50kg. I mostly ate low-carb meals.

The only thing you really need is sodium if you sweat. Your kidneys will hold on to it but you can't control loss from sweat.

Anorexics are only wrong to the degree that their mentality is a disorder. Like, if they were more flexible with how they did things and were more able to see reality and themselves for what they are, they wouldn't be classified as having a disorder.

The methods and techniques of anorexics often work, especially among those who are resourceful.

IMHO, one of the pillars of the obesity crisis has been the overemphasized fear of anorexia and the desire to classify any anorexic-like behavior (not even mentality, but just behavior) as anorexia itself. So, despite fasting being a thing for centuries, it definitively is looked down upon when done for nonreligious reasons in this age of "you MUST avoid becoming anorexic!!!!!!"

The reason why IF becoming popular is kinda cool is that people are really beginning to see that "not eating" is different than what an anorexic attempts. And, similarly, eating less often actually seems beneficial when monitored, done with realistic goals, and overall is flexible to a person's needs.

And doing his snake juice recipe at face value gave me kidney stones. It's a rational idea base that's gotten out of hand. But that rational base makes it seem reasonable so it gets perpetuated.

Have you ever actually mixed it up yourself? It doesn't all dissolve in the water, it's supersaturated and solidifies some of it out of the mixture. Unless you're drinking loads of pure water with it, ie diluting that shit, or have some body quirk it's not the best idea.

It's a cool idea to reduce body stress when it goes into recycle mode and replenishes things you sweat out, but it's either too much for salts or too little water. And half the shit in the current mix doesn't even get absorbed by the body or is based on some obscure study that showed some promise, but in the grand scheme of things is so small not to matter if the goal is fat weight loss.

At best it's a good excuse to do self-research to understand what fasting is. It's almost like making you invest money into the idea of fasting might make you stick with it longer to see the results, but in the end that investment wasn't necessary.
