Is it even possible for me to live an enjoyable life at this point?

sure, win the lottery

no, not with that list i'm afraid

better question: is it even possible for someone to be this based? I'd rather depressed and right than wrong. Every item on the list makes death more appealing anyway.

the cosmological argument is sound

And do what with it? Coast to my inevitable death still feeling the crushing meaningless daily, only now I have a nice car and a big house? Does not do much for me.

There is some initial satisfaction to understanding the ultimate truth, but ultimately it does not matter. The only thing I care about is joy, and I feel very little of it.

>all these wikipedia articles and nietzsche quotes on Jow Forums have redpilled me bros :(
uh, yea? it's called, stop being a little faggot armchair philosopher and either kill yourself or distill your personal philosophy into something with longevity and benefit

He believes philosophy is a tool to make you happy and not the dispassionate analysis of the universe and the human condition within it

Are you me? Throw in a little misanthropy and crippling loneliness and we'll be the same

Unironically go to church

No. The rational conclusion is death since death is the more favorable condition. Get to it OP. If you were logical, you would be dead already rather than suffer this life.

>Just delude yourself that your suffering has meaning

>hard determinist
what about quantum mechanics?

My belief is that quantum mechanics likely has a deterministic rulebook that we have yet to discover, but regardless, complete randomness is as bleak as complete certainty. Either way -- free will is an illusion.

How would that help? I find the notion of a god existing, especially a Christian god, to be extremely silly. I don't believe in it.

Laughing at the futility sort of works for me.

Yeah... that helps sometimes. But I haven't seen the humor in it in awhile.

I don't disagree. Sadly, I am afraid of death. Illogical, I know. But it is what it is.

That is what I figured.

Give it a good 3-5 years and you'll grow out of at least half of that.

If you insist on removing all meaning from life and denying philosophical truths, sure.

I think you have depression.

its called being a hedonist. shits great.

>denying philosophical truths
What kind of "truths" are you talking about?

alan watts is a good place to start. has lots of lectures on yt.

The most unfortunate article here is antinatalist, you are engineered to reproduce and your brain would heavily reward you for it. Happiness is a reward from your body for being a good boy that will make new generations. You can easily trick it with drugs of course if you ever give up looking for your own meaning, but I'd like to present an alternative. Misanthropist is not on your list, and you will also be rewarded for being a good social boy. If you are struggling with anxiety or similar disorders I reccomend you focus on fixing those, as cringy as it may sound meaningfull quality conections with people are what it's all about. I've fallen for the "lone wolf" meme before so I know what I'm talking about. Another tip is setting some challenging goals with your job or hobbies, to both distract you and provide pleasure when completed. Lastly, don't regret not being a christcuck or anything alike, you can be happy without their cope. Good luck user

>tfw Christian but hard determinist, antinatalist, and pessimist, so I'm not even aloud to kill myself on the off-chance that I'll end up replacing this temporary hell for an eternal one

Fuck that. I'd rather be unhappy than a selfish asshole that only has children to benefit themselves.

Unironically read Marxist literature. Marxism is the natural evolution of those views. It's EXTREMELY materialistic and pretty atheistic, although it's a bit less deterministic than you, I would assume. "Men make their own history, but they do not make it as they please; they do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past."

As for antinatilism and pessimism, that's more just personality.

Where did I suggest any children? I took your list into full consideration, assuming you are the op

Listen to some of Alan Watts speeches

He was not OP.

I am 24. I am extremely confident in each of the views I have brought up here. There is no "growing out" to be done. God is not real, breeding is immoral, and free will is an illusion.

>materialist

you're sad because youre stupid as fuck that's it.

How about stop being such a fagass edgelord.

You believe that there is something beyond physical matter? Where is the proof?

I wish I could. I don't believe these things because I like being "edgy" -- I think they are accurate.

I'm kinda in the same boat, but I'm more neutral/optimistic than pessimistic. You can still be hopeful that there will be a cause that leads to a positive effect in your life.

where is the proof that physical matter exists
