Cut calories

>cut calories
>lose weight
>all of a sudden, weight stays the same for a week

How? I'm still at a large deficit from the calories I'm meant to consume based on my BMI, why the fuck did you lie to me Jow Forums?

Probably water household or you have unrealistic expectations about the speed of your weight loss.

you caloric requirement goes down as you lose weight, this is new maintenance level

This is a gay bottom

Yeah but it's still at a deficit. This only proves that meme diets work, how the fuck else would the body just adjust to something below it's means

only significant if your weight stays the same for like two weeks. you can be losing body fat but holding onto water so it isn't apparent on the scale.

>angry because he's far more beautiful than you
Sad!

Your body will resist weight loss, by slowing metabolic rate among other things, inorder to prevent this from from occuring , you must refeed (once a week is popular) . that means every so often youll want to eat a bunch of carbs above maintenance level.

>Yeah but it's still at a deficit. This only proves that meme diets work
or it proves youre a retard who thinks some BMI calculator is 100% accurate..

You wanna reefed after 12 days of dieting, for 2 days in a row at maintenance or 5% surplus. Not just once a week.

Less weight = less energy required

>BMR goes down as you lose weight
>BMR calculators are not accurate just a guide
Your actual BMR may be lower, so you'll have to eat less again. Also
>Weight loss isn't linear
Some weeks you'll measure at a different time or you'll be retaining water etc

Give it another week or two before you freak the fuck out.

Post this in the qtddtot general retard

I said it was a popular, not that it was the best way

Fuck off, faggot.

cope

Eat even less then.

this, and keep in mind that beyond a certain point, progress is VERY slow unless you go on dramatic deficits. I've been cutting from 70kg and it took me 3 months to get to 66.5kg. I was not fat at all, but I wanted to go full otter for once, so the progress was very slow. Probably around 1200-1600 kcals a day. The last couple of weeks have been hell, lifting on this deficit (low carb, too) is very tiring.

If you're fat, progress should be much faster though. However, it's common to stay the same weight for one week or so while cutting. Water weight can add 1 or 2kg.

your body is trying to maintain homeostasis by retaining water, even as you're losing fat tissue. This is very normal during a cut.

do NOT do anything dramatically different, just stay in a moderate calorie deficit. Every week or so, you'll notice you abruptly lose 1-2 lbs of scale weight, which is just the water you were otherwise retaining.

Don't listen to these idiots saying to eat even less, they have zero idea what they're talking about. Crash dieting will spike stress hormones and cause massive muscle loss.

so lets get this straight, it took you 12 weeks to lose roughly 8 pounds, all while eating 1600 calories per day, and you're trying to give people diet advice?

it sounds like you need to figure out how to do your own diet properly first. I cut on 3000 calories per day.

Fuck cutting. Permabulk is life.

Fat

Based bloatmaxxer

Macaco going gorilla mode

>weight stays the same for a week
>I'm still at a large deficit
Actually, no!

Agreed. Just do cardio and don't eat empty calorie junk. But meat, veggies, rice, etc., just fucking eat it. If you train for all-around performance, you're gonna look fine

Went from 210-200 at 1200 cal/daily
I should still be at a deficit. I've been maintaining the 1200 intake. The next step would be 900, but then what? Just keep cutting until I'm at 0 calories?

A 1200 calorie deficit, or 1200 calories total?

Move your ass, dumbass.

So
>200lbs
>no weight loss for a week
and
>I've been maintaining the 1200 intake
Consider writing an article for the Journal of Democratic Socialist Thermodynamics about your metabolic disprivilege

op is definitely a retard, but you are right there with him. Do you know about weight fluctuations by food or water intake? Or shitty consumer scales? Only a retard would think 1 week of no weightloss represents a trend

1200 total* my bad

Why the fuck do people have a problem reading
IT'S STILL WITHIN A SIGNIFICANT DEFICIT

Grown men should have a BMR of about 3500 calories. I am not trying to shill Cole Robinson but he is 43 years old and he eats 3500 calories a day for maintenance. He is only 5'9". If you are only burning 2300 calories a day there is something very wrong with you. Also Take for instance the Average Soviet citizen was eating 3100 calories a day. cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP84B00274R000300150009-5.pdf That means they could probably start lifting and easily cut at 3000 calories. They were all skinny as fuck.

are you a stay at home mother?

Weight fluctuates, if you are truly at a deficit a stall will be followed by a "woosh". If not, you arent at a deficit. Also 1200kcal/day at 210 lbs is pretty aggressive, do you exercise?

BMR is highly variable and it is totally reasonable for an adult male who is sedentary to have a tdee below 2500 cals

That must suck to have such a shiity BMR. What improves it? Or how does it get so low? Is Sugar lowering BMR? I noticed the soviets had very high BMRs but did not eat any sugar.

Its the cold , your body will burn more calories to maintain internal temperature if needed

R E F E E D
you need to spike your metabolism
