If you're splitting up your workouts to focus on areas (triceps + chest) (back + biceps) (legs + shoulders) then there should be no problem. That's not what we're talking about. We're talking about the ideal amount of workout for the ideal amount of muscle gains. Sure, twice is week is fine for a month or so, but after that you can start ramping it up.
