I practiced electric guitar autistically for 10 hours at a day every day but it literally doesn't matter at the end because no one cares if I can sweep pick or not

I think he is referring to guitars in particular, since guitar related music isn't as popular as it used to be, but it's still a stupid point, because A) getting into art or music should be about pleasing oneself first and foremost. Who gives a shit if others don't care? And B) Even if music made on real (TM) instruments is less popular (which is questionable), people still appreciate somebody who is passionate about art, so it wouldn't be considered lame.

I channeled all my aggression into learning Dragon Force and The Fall of Troy because I thought learning the fastest and hardest shredder music made me the ultimate badass, and now I'm a fucking loser because that doesn't transfer over to any practical skill, and everyone thinks I'm a retard because I put all my energy into something irrelevant, climbing a tree that only existed to me.
