I think you already have an answer in mind, from the way your worded this and the image you used, but I just want to say that having read a bunch of books written in difficult language and talking about other people's ideas in a very superficial way doesn't imply intelligence. That is, mental capability. I've noticied that a lot of people think that being more interested by politics or philosophy or art or whatever means you're more intelligent. You need to learn to embrace the chaotic nature of reality, user. Chaos is infinite possibility. We're a small subset of that possibility. It's impossible for us to know what lead to people's lives. It's impossible for us to know if they aren't some kind of aberration in a simulation, "NPCs", or something similar. Our brain could be generating all we see, and we'd have no way of testing this with 100% certainty. It's better to embrace the fact we can't know, and focus on what we want to manifest out of the infinite possibilities. Remember that you MUST be more creative the more limited you are. I think you're right about how people are tempted to think of others as NPCs because they don't think, and that maybe thinking about things is actually a waste of time, but it makes me think, ironically, about why some people are like this in the first place. Why do we think about trivial things? Why don't the 'NPCs' as some call them think about these things? Did they consciously think about this and then make the decision not to think about 'trivial' things and to do other things instead? If so, why'd they make the choice while we continue to think about this stuff? If they didn't consciously think about this and make a decision, why don't they think about stuff like this?
