If I had to pick just one, "Chinatown" (1974).

Close contenders are "Runaway Train" (1985), "Sorcerer" (1977), "Apocalypse Now" (1979), "The Bridge on the River Kwai" (1957), "Bullitt" (1968), "Three Days of the Condor" (1975), "Picnic at Hanging Rock" (1975), "Heat" (1995), "The Passenger" (1975)

Probably could list a further 20-30 good films.

>having a single favorite film

Someone actually asked me this question recently, which motivated me to start making a list, so far noted down 56 really solid films.

You have a decent taste do you want to talk on discord ?

spring summer fall winter and spring. it also shows how destructive females are.

You could probably see a couple running themes in there such as my interest in 70s existential thrillers, several war movies and high count of Spielberg and Spielberg-type stuff overall. Not to mention the prevalence of American movies. Like I said, the list is work in progress and I also have a bunch of stuff waiting in line on the list of "things I always wanted to see but never had time" which might have some future additions.

Forrest Gump
The Truman Show
Collateral
Groundhog day
Wedding Crashers
A Clockwork Orange
Pulp Fiction
Swingers
Fight Club
Chef
the messenger
Taken series
Chihiro
Tonari no Totoro
Fallen Angels
Chungking Express
Lost in translation
Good will huntingGood will hunting
Lincoln Lawyer
Southpaw
American Beauty
Paris, Texas

Lost in TransIation

I find it hard to pick movies I really liked, but these are up there:
> Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
> Handmaiden (2016)
> The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970)
> Crash (1996)

For a second you had me confused because I thought you meant that retarded "Crash", a piece of garbage which somehow won three oscars, but then I remembered it was from 2004.

Heat is pretty good. Ronin also a contender. Annihilation was excellent.

1. Blade Runner 2049
2. Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion
3. Blade Runner (The Final Cut)

Would recommend the book, user. It came before the movie and has a far different tone.

not him, but if you want i also want to talk to people who are into films, is it ok?

No Country for Old Men
Taxi Driver
American Psycho

I've never had a single favourite but off the top of my head some I like the most are
>The Fellowship of the Ring
>Solomon Kane
>Return to Oz
>Legend
>Stardust
>Mobile Police Patlabor 2: The Movie
>Macross Plus Movie Edition

Usual Suspects

Sick choices. There Will Be Blood is definitely my top 3 and as far as i am concerned Martin McDonagh hasn't made a bad film yet.

I don't think anyone has positive memories of that Crash by now, but the Cronenberg one about car crash sex is still a steamy pro watch.

Capote

I've watched it like 3-4 times in the past month, I think that movie is amazing. Really should read the book to be desu

London Boulevard and In Brudges are two of my favorites that you mightve not heard of.

A Scanner Darkly is also one of my favorites.

"Fargo" is pretty good and almost made my list but it lacked depth and I didn't enjoy it that much.

>The Thing
>Escape from New York
>Captain Ron
>Memories of Murder
>The Dollars Trilogy

>Eyes Wide Shut
Been meaning to see that one, is it any good?

Blade Runner is genuinely boring. I don't know what people see in it.
