Shit

So robots, I'm 19 and I'm getting evicted from my parents house in a week. I have $600 to my name, and a phone and a car. I have basically no friends, nobody to live with, and I currently have no job. What do I do? How fucked am I? Should I eat a bullet or do a last resort and go to the military, or can I make it?

What's a good way to find roommates? Craigslist?
I'm in bumfuck AL atm for context.

Assuming you are in the usa go to job corps in a city you think is cool. Hawaii, Los Angeles, San francisco (this is where I am going), New York. look up what job corps is if you don't know about it

Just google "roommates near me" and check out a few websites.

that motel is gonna eat up 600 in no time

where are you in alabama user? i lived in my car for a month around birmingham and it was fairly easy. you could do that while you get back on your feet

I'm in Mobile atm. I can definitely live out of the car for now if I have to.

Go to the largest city (Birmingham?) and try that.

Job corps sounds very appealing, and something I could really use right now. Thankyou for the reccomendation, I think I'll give it a shot.

live in the car for a while. less comfy than a van but it can work

Join the army. You clearly have nothing going on in your life and are thinking about dying anyway.

If I can't make things work out, I'm going to try and join the airforce. The only issue is that I have debilitating asthma, and I don't know how I'm going to be able to successfully bullshit that in order to get in. BMT would be a fucking struggle with my breathing problems.

>San francisco (this is where I am going)
Haha oh man I pity you so bad. SF is a fucking shitshow for anybody who isn't a millionaire.

I really fucking lmao at american culture.
Families evict members from their houses, holy fucking shit.
I still live with my parents, my sister still lives with us, she's engaged and has a child, yet still lives with us.
My cousin still lives with her family, and has a child too. Our family lives together and we hardly ever move out to live on our own because that's dumb as fuck.
Why the fuck do you guys want to leave so badly? To pay fucking rent on your own?

the highland park/five points area of bham is pretty safe and has a fair amount of cheap-ish apartments. if you're lucky you can get a studio for like $500, or pay $700-$800 for a one-bedroom. but of course you'll need a job first to get approved for it, and good credit. idk about roommates. i would room with you if i were looking, but i'm not able to leave my current situation. a lot of the city isn't as bad as it used to be (even if it looks shitty). it's slowly getting completely gentrified by hipster cunts. i wouldn't live in north bham or any area west of it, though

In a lot of situations you don't get booted for no reason at all. It's very contextual, it can be a super fucking toxic environment to live in, an abusive household, the person getting evicted doing dumb shit that jeapordizes the family, etc. Most robots and people alike don't want to leave the comforts of home, but they're forced to due to circumstances they created or can't control.

The biggest thing for me atm is securing a stable job. I can work manual labor if it comes down to it. I have a basic osha cert for construction as well. I really need to find a roommate(s) as those living situations are typically cheaper.

Yeah, I get that, families can be abusive.
But one thing I noticed about americans is that they have some kind of need to move out like it's a big accomplishment to live on your own paying a fuckload of rent. Why is it bad to live with your parent's while making your own money and helping each other? Is having a family embarassing there?
Sure, you can move out when you get a girlfriend and you want to live with her to possibly start a new family, but why the fuck leave before that?

without a doubt some manufacturing place will hire you if you blast them all with resumes. you could also sign up to be a doordash driver, there's literally no interview process, once they find out you're not a criminal you're hired

Drive your car to slab city, CA.

Stay there indefinitely.

living with my mom is completely humiliating even though i'm working, paying for shit and saving up money to put it down on my own shitty house. my friends who have moved out can be passive aggressive about it. one dude wanted to go to college but refused to move back in with his parents just because muh pride, and he never ended up going to school

Currently in the process of helping my mom evict my drug addict brother. We should just let him live here rent free , paying no bills , not helping with food. What assholes we are to get rid of a fucking junkie who lies , and steals from us and leaves his dirty needles around. Go ask girls for pictures of their bobs you fucking cuck. I'm willing to guess you are from a country of brown people that have prearranged marriages to their cousins and you all smell like shit

That's what I'm saying, why are your friends passive aggressive about spending more money and living alone? Why the hell would it be humiliating to live with your family?
Fuck, you are saving money, you can save money to move out IMMEDIATELY to a decent house when you get a girlfriend you want to marry, why the fuck do your friend think he is superior for already spending money on living alone?

Oh yeah, I'm not talking about evicting a drug addict, but about the culture where things like the above situation happen.

user i know it might be scary but your parents are probably worried that you have no friends and no gf and dont want you spending all your time wallowing at home. They aren't really kicking you out they are desperately trying to get you to be happy because you obviously aren't happy where you are right now. I know because the same thing happened to me but i kinda flipped out at them and now they feel guilty and let me live at home (im 20 now) but I kinda wish they did kick me out back then by now id be so much more on my feet and put together. The adult world isn't that hard man apply at any local pizza place (they are usually understaffed while being an easy as fuck job) and just chill. You can find some friends near your age to split rent with and then you can get a better job and have extra money to spend on stuff like a gf. Its so easy you'll come to realize the reason why the adult world is hard is because you have to pay to support and expensive baby, but you dont you only gotta support yourself once you are out of the house you will thank your parents.

I wish that was the case. I broke up w/ my ex after 8 months and she isn't in a situation where she can move back in with me / attempt to move out together. A big reason I'm getting evicted is smoking pot in a rental house here, and thus putting my family's only roof over their head in jeopardy. I understand why they're doing it, I'm not mad, I don't hold hard feelings, and neither do they. But they can't lose this house over something as stupid as weed. That, and what they see as a general lack of motivation is why I'm getting booted. They wanted me to do the military path extremely bad, and see me flourish in the Air Force, but that is not the life for me.

just vagabondmaxx dude

I'd rather kill myself than bring anyone home with me to my mum's house.

Live out of your car. Find a job, something easy. Then make a plan. Good luck.

why are your parents such pieces of shit. im 28 and still live with my parents

go to the military user. I got kicked out at 19 as well, I joined the army. I made a good friend in basic, and then we both quit basic together and I moved in with him and we are NEETs at his families house now. It's a little awkward for me but I',m gettomg sidetracked.
Join the military and don't quit. You will have free food, free room, no bills, and a paycheck
