/comfy/

Why is there no comfy NEET thread? Tell me about yourself, how you're doing and such. I'm doing fine myself, though I wish it would rain since I'm tired of the sun.

I wish I was a NEET again. The college life was a pain, and waging isn't all that much better.

>waging
And there's your problem.

I need monies, user. My parents are getting to old to support me.

Sadly you can't slow down time or go back in time. You just gotta make the best out of a situation. Get a career online, train in drawing porn and get better. That way you can atleast earn a good income and have a part-time job.

newbie neet here, i do nothing but browse chans all day along. Some advices to embrace neetlife? i've social anxiety so i live like a hiki and despise my life when i was a wagie/school years ,but now that i'm finaly free of social interactions and slavery and accessed the holly neetlife i feel bored and deppressed.. anime, movies, vidya does nothing anymore on me and i feel stressed when i have to play/watch something because i handle it like it's a job and not as it's a simple pass-time (i know it's kinda retarded an autistic) so i do nothing but browse chans all days. My situation reminds me of this post made by an user i don't remember when ; "There is nothing comfy about being NEET. You're miserable either way, but without a job you have an unlimited amount of time to dwell on how terrible everything is". that's how i feel right now but of course it's way better than slavery, maybe it's the price to pay for freedom... sorry OP my story isn't comfy but i know nowhere where i could put this so pardon me.
and since i'm retarded i'm sure you will pardon my bad english

Do something creative. Like maybe write a book, or learn something new such as drawing and cooking.

the rain will come in good time user, the shit weather couldn't come any sooner

You're jaded, kick yourself in the ass. Get a hobby, draw porn, write a book. Get creative.

>the rain will come in good time user
It better come in a good time! Lately it's only been cold like if it was late September. I can't imagine how cold the winter is gonna be, and in my house, it gets freezing cold during the winter even if I close my window. Atleast that's what I've heard since I just moved. Time to stack up on warm clothes now! I really want to cuddle with an user so we can stay warm together.

i wish winter was the only season

comfy threads are the onIy ones worth bumping

Neet of 5 years clocking in

Wallpapers like these make me calm, warm and fuzzy inside, especially the first image. But yeah, I atleast have something to do in the winter, while summer is the most boring & depressing time during the year. Warm, moist and tropical nights sure are the worst thing there is. I just want to read a good book and play vidya during the night but it was so fucking warm. Now it's kind of cold, but I like it.

lewronggeneration is a real disease friends

How are you doing, fellow NEET user? I sincerely hope you're not waging for small cuckbucks.

Why get a pesky gf when you can get a fellow bro as your best friend?

Attached: cool wallpaper 1.jpg (2000x1434, 944K)

>I really want to cuddle with an user so we can stay warm together.
easy on op, you might give an user a heart attack

Warm, fuzzy, covered in a warm blanket while we,re watching movies such as Blade Runner during a stormy, rainy evening in the autumn. How does that sound?

>we,re
Damn I meant we're. I guess I should go to bed earlier today.

alright that does sound quite appealing

carry on op, give me some more comfy details

tfw neet but hoping to go back to uni next month
i just want them to process my application already reeeeeee

...then it evolves into naked cuddling. We're hugging eachother and pulling us together closely to maximize the warmth. It's really cold and windy outside, so mere fur blanket isn't enough. We grab our woolly caps and grab an extra fur blanket. Then we lay rest face against face and each hand against eachothers peen like a cup so our balls don't freeze off.

I'm in winter mode already but I didn't even start my summer vacation

disgusting
it isn't always about sex you know.
you're fucking sick user

That's mean!!! I didn't say anything about sex, idiot, I only said we'd warm eachothers balls!!

you'd love it wouldn't you
i bet you would

I'm doing okay. I'm getting a little bit bored of the NEET life and I may look for some part time work. I normally spend my days writing books or editing the one of the eleven I've written so far. I'm not sure if that still counts as NEET or it means I'm unsuccessful. I treat it like a day job except no one publisher wants anything to do with me.

Wdym, user. What would I love?

Time goes but you don't know it.

What kind of books are you writing? What genre do you strive for?

for things to get out of hand, if you know what i mean

I'm writing commercial genre fiction; sci-fi fantasy, crime, and horror. They're all novellas around 150 pages which publishers hate, but I think shorter books could bring in more readers.

>can feel it starting to get cooler
>no more hot nights
>comfy autumn is approaching

I can't wait bros.

It rained today in my small german hometown. I spend the day at home playing Borderlands 1, while also editing some of my photos from my greece trip.

My gf joined me today and asked if I could tell her some things about computers, which is why I showed and explained her every part from my setup. Later that day we both opened up a steam account for her and added tons of games to her wish list.

Thats because you force yourself to do something. Thats why i can't watch movies longer than 90 minutes or enjoy games anymore.

Cant you sell them as e-books on amazon?

Good for you, user. But you will NEVER enjoy the NEET life again, until you're retired ofc.

What are some comfy places in your area ?

not so bad, thx for asking user

Pic related is my hometowns oldest library. It's really comfy in the morning because there's nobody here. Completely packed with normies in the afternoon though.

Physics major, trying to learn programming for data science on kaggle.com to pull myself out of NEETdom. I wish I could stay a NEET forever- I'm not one of those people who needs a job or even much socializing to find fulfillment. I enjoy working out, going on walks, reading physics and philosophy, minecraft, browsing the internet- there's more than a lifetime to do all those things. I also really hate driving, and when I get a job I will probably have to commute every day.

But I need the money :(

The horror ones are pretty standard B-movie monster fare. One's about a giant eagle rampaging a small sea town. Another is about a giant armadillo attacking a town in Texas. One of the crime books is about a mobster, in 1990, being coerced to locate the missing daughter of a retired boxer. One of the sci-fi fantasy books is about a bounty hunter with a missing eye going after the woman who took it. They all have a heavy comedic element to them. They're meant to be enjoyable and quick reads.
I think I'm going to go that route. The main benefit of traditional publishing is that they help with advertising. Self-published authors do make more money though since they obviously don't have to split their royalties.

I'm gonna echo what other anons have said. Dedicate some time to self-improvement and some time to creativity. Not for a boss, but for yourself. Maybe you want to get stronger- do some pushups. Or maybe you want to learn a new language- practice that. For creativity, you could write essays, cook, even tend to your own arrangement of houseplants. Anything that inspires you really.

The forests.

Bizarre image, heh.

No problem, user.

It looks really comfy, but the white interior ruins the whole dark oak texture of the library.

I hope you learn anything from it, and that you get money somehow. Maybe buy a bike?

>comedic horror
Sounds ridicilous but I chuckled at every book you mentioned. I'm actually also trying to write a book, in the horror genre and not comedy. Any tips?

it sucks because i do nothing instead.. The only thing i want at this stage is to want to do something. I'm jealous of neets still enjoying anime/vidya or any other media. I see them on boards like Otaku culture, /v/, /a/ etc, having any type of interest and i'll love to be like them. What do you do all day user?

Attached: 1522169094506.jpg (780x780, 668K)

Taking a shit in the dark is comfy as fuck, in my opinion.

its still in the high 80s-low 90s here. Nights are starting to drop a little at least
I tried to go on a night walk last and got eaten alive by bugs and was really sweaty when I got back.
When I was living in eastern Kentucky id walk in the forest at night. Im still in Kentucky but living in the city so I gotta drive to the forest.
Kentucky is a shit state but Appalachia is lonely in a magical way

Attached: 1542049162542.jpg (1920x1080, 316K)

Thanks for the (you). Yeah, a bike would probably help if I could find work close enough, or if I moved close to work. But my parents don't live in the city, and living with them is more affordable. Also when I used to ride bikes the small surface area of the saddle would lead to high amounts of pressure on my butt/balls??? Idk how daily bikeriders deal with it desu.

I can break down my process if you want. Some of my books have been around 30k words. I usually work with a 15 chapter arc. So I take each 2000 word chapter and break that down into eight points. Each point is then 250 words and it makes it a breeze to write. I think any genre book needs a good opening chapter as a hook. Use that opening to establish the horror element. Is it a slasher? Show the slasher killing someone that connects to the rest of the story. Say it kills a man who's daughter turns into the protagonist. Or it's a cult summoning a demon who spends the rest of the book murdering teenagers. My point is you need to give your reader something early to hold onto while you're setting up the rest of the book.

>my parents don't live in the city
Comfy! If you live in the countryside, that is. Get a closer job, since living in cities are the highest form of cuckery there is. Suburbs are good too, but NEVER in the city.

It is very comfy, but I don't think there are many demands for a programmer out here. I could just get some rando retail job, but I have college debt and it would feel like a waste of a physics degree.

I'm going for the monster horror genre, kind of like the first Silent Hill game, where you try to find your daughter but end up revealing a cult where they make her into a demon. Maybe something like the lines of "Silent Hill, the town where horrifying nightmares turn into reality" or something cheesy like that.

>debt
I hope you get debt-free some day. You shouldn't have gone to college since you can easily find jobs that give you a solid income.

>programmer
uh just find a job that lets you work remotely

I like it. I've always enjoyed books and movies where the protagonist goes somewhere and the place slowly becomes warped and he realizes he's made a huge mistake. Trying making the town itself a character if you can.

arent forrests pitch black at night?

Thanks! Anything else that I need to know before I start a book? Any idea how to give my characters a personality?

>Get a career online
Can someone help make a list of viable options for a hiki?

Try to commit to a word count per day. If that's only 500 words a day, that's fine. But it's more important to be consistent with your writing until it's finished.

Writers like to pretend that their characters are all original, but many play off archetypes. Try using some of them. It helps the reader fill in blanks on their own without explaining too much. Many of us can immediately picture a punk rocker, a meth head, or an aging hippie. Combine them and you get an even clearer picture.
>He was one of those meth head ex-punk rockers wearing a tattered vest full of bands that broke up two decades ago.
Clothes can say a lot about a person as can their dialogue.

moar liek dis

I read that people only need 5 hours of work per week in order to get the mood-boost benefits that a job provides. That said, 16 hours a week seems pretty good, too.

There was a comfy thread on /b/ a while back where a nice user was posting things. I'll repost the ones I saved.

Me too. I agree. I really liked learning about physics, but honestly I should've just studied from home. It gets easier every year to learn whatever you want on the internet.

This is a good idea, and I have strongly considered doing this. The only problem is I don't have a CS degree so a lot of times my code is quite spaghetti. I'd feel insecure doing it all on my own, and would rather start out with maybe a team of co-workers/mentors to help me improve. I'm not even sure if that's what a typical work environment for a programmer is like though, I'm kind of in over my head at the moment.

OP here! I gotta sleep, sorry if I can't respond but keep the thread alive, chat with eachother. I want this thread alive for another 8-9 hours and not 404'd. Good night, anons!

Counting down the days until I have saved enough with my min. wage job to go full NEET for 6~ months and live off the savings.

Attached: 1520826205079.jpg (1920x1080, 300K)

How do you get gud enough at this to make enough to live a bare-minimum NEET lifestyle? Aren't you afraid of gambling away your savings and ending up homeless?

what job has u?

Gonna try college again soon, luckily I'm financially stable enough that even if I somehow fuck it up again I'll survive.
I'm currently sharing an apartment with 4 other total losers and it's nice. We get to play board games together a lot, and apart from that I just lock myself in my room and read and watch youtube and stuff. It's a neat life.
Not gonna miss accidentally sleeping for 14 hours some days, though. That's the worst part of being a NEET, a bad sleep schedule can fuck everything up completely.

im going to college in two months too and your roommates sound fun , I'll really try to make some friends in college

One thing that I think helps with my sleep is *not* having blackout curtains. I have the white plastic vertical blinds that let light in and it makes me at least somewhat subject to a day/night rhythm.
If I sleep for 14 hours it's just because I was really tired. How does it mess things up for you?

Try to show up when everyone else does (typically like 5 days before classes start, I think), and start making friends as quickly as possible. It's just less awkward that way.

60 points - I'll just try and escape every 10 years and stay indefinitely.

Wish it was autumn cause taking a neighborhood in autumn while listening to something like american football and drinking a hot coffee or tea is cozy as fuck. Wanna see New England area in autumn one day

nice! playing minecraft with friends is definitely cozy

How do I get a minecraft neet gf?

9 months in, does it count as neet if I'm studying web development on my own?
Sadly I no longer enjoy video games so I'm considering learning a new language as well, currently fluent in English and Spanish, might pick up French or German.
Haven't worked out in two weeks because it's so damn hot here, will get back soon.

You sound too motivated to be a TrueNeet TM, but I would allow you into the neet club.
Is web development fun? How long before you can start earning JobBux?

I just finished my screenplay that Ive been working on for a while. Tomorrow im going to buy a laptop and get it typed up. So fucking excited about that.
Yesterday I went on an amazing date with my oneitis/best friend. We have plans to go out again next week.
I also just made a pepperoni pizza from scratch. Im about to cut into it, have a glass of wind and watch a movie.
I feel pretty fucking good right now.

What laptop?

You sound like you're killing it. Best luck with your oneitis.

Dont know. I really just need something cheap. All I need it for is typing/watching porn/and browsing Jow Forums.
My work sells a $150 chromebook. Ive been eyeing that.

Good evening my friends I hope you are all doing fine. What have you all been doing recently?

That chromebook sounds cool - Personally I would suggest looking at used Dell Latitudes on eBay - something in great condition from a great, domestic seller. I'm more of a Jow Forumstard, though, so that might not be your thing. At least one of my friends refuses to buy any used tech.

Posting here - I did this cyoa, which was fun. Been designing a book cover and on the phone with my parents.

Good luck with that but what is the book about also I liked the game you posted it was fun

oh you should post your choices! that's part of the fun. I exclusively like these images that... have the fantasy of being a super hikikomori, basically.
The book? Um - it's just something I wrote a little while ago and am now publishing - it's kind of a niche interest. I don't like to consider myself a secretive person but it's just 'a book' - let's say.
What about you?

Well my choices were the internets, a PC, sound room drinks and cards.

And as for me I am learning greek then I plan on buying a book to learn another language. Good luck with the book by the way.
