think it's overrated. falls into the category of films that have been overexposed in pop culture and so the iconic scenes are less impactful. the film outside of the russian roulette scenes isn't good enough to hold the film up when you've been exposed to countless parodies of those scenes.

I never got that from it myself. I don't think i was exposed to the scenes much at all. I liked how the film was shot, a lot of the scenes felt very grounded in reality, which made it more emotional, to me at least.
