Are you willing to work menial labor? Most middle-class and rich people here have lighter skin while darker-skinned people can only get menial jobs. Racism isn't as bad as America (sometimes people will be annoyed at you for your race, but they won't attack you or arrest you or shoot you up) but job opportunities are scarcer for darker-skinned people in the Philippines.
