When he left for college, we were the same height, and we shared our misery at being the short kid in class. Then I shot up like eight inches. He came back for summer break and I'm towering over him.

I feel you man. My Dad is 5ft11, Mom is 5ft4. I am 5ft8. It could be worse, but I am still considered short for my country. I am from Ireland and the average male height for guys my age (21) is 5ft11. I got plenty of sleep and exercise as a kid and my parents made sure I ate well. I just inherited my genes from my Mother I think. All of my Grandparents, Men included, weren't over 5ft5.
I don't really mind TOO much, because I am still taller than or as tall as most women, but it still feels weird being the smallest out of my friends.
