This is my first time on the website. I heard about all of the great pranks that Jow Forums has pulled off and I am a huge fan of internet culture.
I also needed a way to find better memes than instagram and ifunny so I asked my friends who send god-tier memes to our group chats and they said I should come here
By 2005 or so I was being showed things like newgrounds from other foster brothers so that in some ways probably brought me here over /f/ combined with being edgy and hearing it was edgy. By 2009 I was here, but new about Jow Forums before then but had no proxy working nor privacy to use adult sites until 2009+. I may have heard it mentioned on the news as well as people around me. I knew a girl in 2009ish that was on Jow Forums as well as I was Interested in it before even meeting her and did meet her due to realizing that she was cool enough to have a reaction image folder on her flashdrive I found along with pictures of her and her friends.
