What I'm guessing happened is humans made the first Generation of them as it says that there are 2 generations. Once the first Generation got rights or whatever they had the intelligence I'm guessing to make their own Grem's or Grem2's.

I couldn't think of anything so I drew something GREM related.
Yes I know it's wierd, but I just love the idea that something so small (I'm imagining this thing being 3-4 feet) can be so wonderful despite it's injuries(right arm amputated) and size. Despite it's harsh life, it wants to see you live happily, and will remind you that you're fucking awesome.
