i tried doing that but the nier wiki is terribly written and inconsistent so i didn't get much out of it.
yeah, i never fell for the collectibles for collecting's sake meme but i did go after stuff that would help you get the best gear (like in ass creed) or more content/quests (riddler trophies in bamham games).
shadow of mordor had great collectibles that let got you nice, sexy looking gear and it was the perfect amount too. then i started the sequel, saw that right off the bat i had dozens of collectibles on the first map and i uninstalled the game cause i knew it would trigger my autism too much and take me months to beat because i'd run around and collect everything

I stopped collecting stuff in ac when I realized it was designed specifically to prevent you from getting the best stuff until after the game was already over.
Don't see the point in putting unlockable outfits and gear into games if you can't use them while you're actually playing.
