/mtv/ was decent. /mlpol/ was a great board and you could still access it for a several days after April 1st. the other friendly boards weren't much. /fitlit/ was just stupid. /spa/ caused a load of butthurt since /a/ had flags for once.
Kayden Martin
you know when I think of how many good times I've shared on the several boards available on and off the front page, I think Jow Forums is a good internet website for good folks :)

/b/ used to be good for something, but it was long ago.
seems foreign and strange to me, the north american. but you do you o_o
O_O D: :D

ES-335 style body is in fact really comfy for both standing and seated playing.
Asher Green
>Damn, I just looked into it's history It's just the most popular "foreign" guitar on the Soviet space Czechoslovak guitars and others were less popular
Levi Cox
>here's one i gave up buying so i oculd move out of my parents house for the first time with my gf
Never posted at /mu/. Lurked there though. I dislike their bad attitude towards innovative creativity. They also seem to dislike the traditional troubadour practice. They seem to only approve yet another lo-fi and alike, granted, most of them can't play any real instrument but just abuse sound libraries to come up with another "beat".
If Ronald Jenkees would pop up right now and present his stuff at /mu/, he would get "kill'd". /mu/ is grievously incestuous in this sense in my opinion.

Cool gear. You have any favorite effects?
I have always wanted a Kendrick amp because of their cleans. They are outstanding I think.
Ian Gonzalez
I used to own a RedBear Mk120, and played it through an old JBL 15" from the 70s. It was pretty gnarly for heavy music. Palm muting sounded nuts.
MXR 10-Band EQ It was broken when I bought it but it was like half off new just because the lights don't all work but the potentiometers all slide or wev so I'm fine w/ it
Sebastian Diaz
Given your axe and amp I'll make a wild guess you like midrange cleans and choppy dirt. The warmth of tone is everything to you as well, right?
Lincoln Reed
You're close. Spiked end of mid highs. Warmth is heavy, but dipped for more clean chipping. I traditionally pick upwards. I only play the blues scale in different positions, but I practiced chords only and arpeggiated chords and fingerpicking for the first 6 years of my 'guitar' so I didn't really progress until I just said YOU KNOW WHAT NO I WON'T JUST SUCK
Adrian Roberts
that is, i won't just be a tone suck. I'm still no j.hendrick on guit
Dominic Robinson
>I traditionally pick upwards. Cool. Guess what, Paul Gilbert does the same.
Gilbert specifically in one of his videos said that >he picked up a guitar back then and started upstroking >he is able to to finish an even stroke count passage with a natural downstroke
Camden Price
holy cow, and I get talked down to by people like "have you /tried/ upstrokes?" just because I have mental and physical disabilities holding me back from playing at my peak for the time frame I've owned the instrument. But then if I were Paul Gilbert, I wouldn't have to take his name so honorably as if it were a compliment of our mutual understanding of what you think I do and what I attempt throughout this game of telephone we've set up here.
