mexican spanish is kind of varied, just go with american spanish as it's easy to understand and is an offshoot of mexican spanish.

It's just Mexican spanish but mixed between different regions of Mexico. Think the "American accent" you hear on TV but for Spanish. My girlfriend pronounces her ll and y as an english j for example, but that's not how it's done in American Spanish.

Don't use any of those shitty apps, you will only waste time. I can't recommend you any specific resource but just use Google and try to find some that work for you. Ideally more than one so you can complement them since no resource is perfect.
