My last 3 jobs I was fired from for being a non-npc. They were all corporate jobs. I was self employed graphic designer and about 4 years ago the market got really competitive and I just wasn't making enough to pay the bills. So I started applying for jobs. It wasn't long before I got hired on.
I cranked out the work, it was good, I worked hard, I always showed up early, I took pride in my designs and customer satisfaction. But I hated meetings and kissing ass and playing the office politics game. It's not that I'm anti-social, but I'm at work to actually work. So I started to be viewed as an outcast and a weirdo.
In all 3 of my recent firings my bosses said the same thing "we just don't feel you're a good fit." wtf. I worked harder and better than anyone there. But they couldn't control me because I didn't dance to their tune. Fuck this. I don't know what to do now.
I wasn't trying to agitate anyone. I was just trying to do my job and pay my bills. And also, I take pride in my work. Those companies pissed away a very hard worker and damn good designer. That's what's so baffling.

wtf? I never said I wasn't nice. I absolutely was nice to everyone. The only confrontations I had with people, usually women, was when they were being inconsiderate. In the building, you have these "quiet" rooms that you go into when you're finalizing a design. A place to focus and make sure you get all the details right. But women and sometimes men would congregate in them and use them as lounges. So I would ask them to be quiet or leave. But I was always courteous to everyone.
Most jobs nowadays only require a warm body. Those companies didn't piss away a good worker. There are thousands upon thousands of other people out there who are "good workers" just like you and can also play their little office games.
