Techno and house are truly the patrician choice nowadays. You can call me a degenerate all you want but the whole point of those genres is that they are supposed to be set in containment zones in which people could partake in healthy escapism from their weekly commutes. Hell, the biggest and most influential figures in the genres (except outliers like Ricardo Villalobos) are straight edge.
